Try the PAL version, it actually runs faster than the NTSC version.

Saturn version was ported by Time Warner, not Sega. I read terrible terrible things about it.
The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.

Then we set about developing killer games.

We are trying to stick to the Genesis/Mega Drive version. TheUnbiasedGamer was unable to get his Gen VR to work so he made a 32X video instead.

I'm in. *fires up Genesis Model 1*

EDIT: My video is up. I would usually fail badly when racing in Bay Bridge(MEDIUM), but this time was my best run. See for yourself:

Finally got around to doing an expert course run. I promised Austin I would upload mine first this time around. The video is uploading now.

edit: video is finished. Fastest lap is 50 seconds flat:

I ran out of time playing a standard race. Beat that.

Been running through the 32x version. On Bay Bridge (Medium) the best I was able to muster is:

    0'38"613

though I doubt the laps are compatible across the 2 versions. On normal race (default settings) I still can't muster better than 4th place. Video capture hardware arrives Saturday so some hot laps will likely be my first videos.
