Whut? How the hell does the way sega ran business in the 90's have anything to do with someone naming their website "Segaage"? Obviously they're following on the coat tails of two other very popular "age" sites. Where is all that other crap coming from?
Not to grave dig, but is it just me or has the "coming soon" page for Sega Age been updated in recent time? It looks almost exactly like NA from Nintendo Age now.

What happened to NES World when Nintendo Age Launched??
And so the great forum war begins...
Honestly, I'm surprised SegaAge wasn't a hoax after all. That still doesn't mean SA will attract the same kind of dedicated enthusiasts like Sega-16 already has.
"Sega Age". Yet because of the lack of capital A in the site address I can't help but read this as Se-gaage (elongated "a" sound, making it slightly deraaanged.) I have a feeling it will forever be this way to me.
...but anyway, can someone post to update if/when the site/forums become relevant enough for me to lurk around? :/
I'll keep you guys posted, were starting the enormous task of uploading scans of all the games/boxes/manuals for all Sega systems right now, so we have a lot of work ahead of us.

You interested in unreleased prototype ROMs for the Genesis? I just posted one never before available on SegaAge...

Enjoy the site!
I'm sure it will turn out to be a great site, can't have enough Sega love i always say.
Can't say i enjoy the bare bones site look though, but thats probably to keep it looking like that nintendo age site? (which i never visited so i wouldn't know)
But yeah, good luck with the site!
Maybe I'll join some day.
I really do hope a bunch of you guys end up signing up over there. Don't let the (very) few "our site is better than your site" fan boys of SegaAge put a bad taste in your mouth, those of us who have been around for a while know how much fantastic information Sega-16 is home to.
I'm a member of both NintendoAge and NESWorld and both are great places that offer very different things, I don't have to pit one against the other. I've seen a ton of familiar faces over here from many other forums, so hopefully we see some more crossover between both.
The internet is plenty big for both sites, I'm excited that both are around![]()
The site looks really lame... drab colors, everything I clicked on had zero information... meh, I'll stick with Sega16.
I joined the site but sincerely half the threads is about the need to make a price guide and I despise this way of thinking and the impact this causes in the enjoyment of the system, hope it turns better in the long run (and the Brazilian database is atrocious).
Very true, sadly due to the popularity of the other sites associated with it, it will probably kill off the few small Dreamcast and Saturn sites/forums around, my own included.
It's the way it goes though, I used to run a pretty well known Red Dwarf BBS many years ago until the official fanclub BBS launched and everyone jumped ship, likewise when I ran amigauser.co.uk, all those guys (myself included) are now on EAB.
I'll keep slogging on to get my site completed though regardless, I set out to create a small, tight community along the lines of Neo-Geo.com and pretty much succeeded in that respect, just very difficult when everything is updated by one person with very limited time.
But again, I very much doubt Sega-16 has anything to worry about.
