I'd voted brawlers/beat'em-ups, but it was a close tie with side action scrollers. Lately I've been playing a lot of RPG's, especially the later two Shining Force games. I never knew back in the day that these titles were similar to the Fire Emblem series until I started reading reviews here is Sega-16 and kicked myself in the butt for not picking them up when they originally were released!
