Fallout 3 (which platform did you play it on?)

So back on topic, I like to give my characters in FO3 interesting names. Last time I was playing (I play it on the PS3), I gave my character the name "Fleshbag". That really made the opening cutscenes funny.

When I played Fallout 3, I didn't give my character any interesting/funny name, I just gave it my actual name. My brother, however, has both a male and female character, and the male one got Max Power (from a Simpsons episode) as the name, and the female one Lucy Loles (again referencing The Simpsons, but the Latin American dubbing of the Stretch Dude & Clobber Girl part of one of the Halloween specials, regarding the final line of that part)

I'm in a weird place right now... I haven't been able to get back into FO3 for the last couple sessions. Just hasn't felt right. (been big into Military Madness on VC lately)

I've had the same feeling, tried out the no freeze fix (didn't work) but did finally manage to get out of the Airbase and back into the wasteland,
but no matter what i do, its just not as fun as it used to be.

After wandering the wastelands for 2 days i just ended up feeling depressed.

ah well, maybe New Vegas will offer something new.

"airbase"... ??? no idea where that is. I'm close to being level 17 so I'm fairly leveled up... but I've mainly only done side quests the entire game.

Is it a particularly buggy section of the game that you're referring to? If so, which version of the game are you playing?

I'm talking about the GOTY addition "Broken Steel" which is part of my GOTY version of the game.

Originally i had the original version of Fallout 3, which imo was much more stable then the GOTY disc.

But this part of the Broken Steel add-on is extremely buggy for me, at one point i couldn't even walk 2 feet without the game locking up HARD.

If you have the non GOTY edition i doubt you'll experience many problems, the occasional temporary freeze perhaps, but nothing really big.

its just the fucking air base in the GOTY thats buggy as hell.

Kinda sad that i can't really finish the game now (broken steel continued the original fallout 3 story)
but I'm at level 31 (goty raised the level cap) so most of the surviving was over anyway.

Ahh, I hear you. I also have the GOTYE. Hopefully I don't run into those issues like you. So far, I've only had 3 freezes and those were on a previous OS version. Fingers crossed I'll do better with this latest OS update. 3 freezes out of 80+ HRs of gameplay is not bad imo, but each freeze kills hurts.
