Update: I removed the flash-game image. Thanks.
if there is a term for a style that is a modern take of world war ii aesthetics, that would be metal slug
Dieselpunk is the equivalent of steampunk based on the period from the 20's to WW2.
But I always thought Metal Slug was more reminiscent of Korea and Vietnam. That time period is called atompunk, but atompunk is usually more about the Cold War, communism, McCarthyism, nuclear technology, and stuff like that.
You just can't handle my jawusumness responces.
Or maybe, just maybe, the artists behind MS decided to come up with their own style, inspired from various schools of design? :P
