Pc Net Play On Kega Fusion?

I noticed there was a Net Play option under "File" in the Kega Fusion Emulator and I was wondering what games use it if any.

all games with 2 players or more can be used with the Net Play option,
it just allows you to play those 2 player games with someone online.

hold up, let me get this strait *only emulates with gens* I can play any multiplayer genesis game online with someone via kega fusion net play?

are you being sarcastic? that seems a little too good to be true.
I don't play old stuff for nostalgia, I play old stuff because the games are better.

Gens does it too, through Kallera. It's pretty simple to do, since the other player simply has to send controls to your emulator server, unlike something like a link cable.

Funnily enough, I just made the decision to finally download Kega Fusion yesterday. Interesting how this thread should show up the day I finally get the gall to cheat on my model 2. Yes, I also would love to play someone online, but how does one do such a thing?

To play it in netplay, load your game (make sure that both of you have the exact same rom), hit File>Netplay>Start Netplay Game, hit Create, and wait for a connection. When you get a connection, push Start.

To join a netplay game, simply type in the IP address of the hosting computer, push join, and wait on the host to start it.

Hit me up. I started another netplay thread a couple weeks ago but there really wasn't too much interest. Send me a PM if you still want to play. We'll exchange info etc.

Gens sucks, Kega Fusion has the HQ Audio option, and TV mode to be the closest to real hardware emulator.

You know what would be cool? If netplay supported spectators, and had a chat, and allowed you to pass the controllers around. I wonder if that would be much harder to implement than the simpler netplay systems that emulators currently use.

    There is a chat.
Having spectators and especially being able to pass around controllers would probably be too laggy. I already experience quite a lot of delay when I play with people near my location. Often also has to do with firewalls and whatnot.
