I just remembered a good myth - the cart slot in the Sega Saturn was for Mega Drive games. I remember even reading an advert by some electrical retailer saying that.

The Genesis had nasty sound output. For a long time, I truly thought the Genesis' sound was downright awful until I got my first Genesis in 2006, then ended up picking up Thunder Force IV. Was I ever in for a treat...
Myth #221 The Genesis can't file your taxes for you.
"Fires of purgatory, coalesce and incinerate my enemies."
I sure as hell like the YM2612/SN76489 combination on the Genesis. For the longest time, I preferred the sound of the SPC700 in the Super NES, but after listening to multiple games on the Genesis, it made me like the Genesis' sound hardware just as much as I like the Super NES' sound hardware. They each have their own distinctive sound, and that's what I like most about both the Super NES and Genesis sound hardware. Same thing with the TurboGrafx 16; its sound hardware may not be anywhere near as advanced as the Super NES and Genesis as it's simply PSG, but it can produce sound that's unique to it. It's really what I like most about 16-bit consoles(hybrid 8-bit/16-bit in the case of the TurboGrafx 16): they all have different sound hardware and each system has a unique sound. The Genesis' only weak spot is sampled sound, but aside from that, the sound hardware is awesome.
That the Genesis composed this song:
Love that bassline.
