I always got the adapter that belonged to them, and packaged them together as though they belonged.

What plug does the SNES use? Our Goodwill has an SNES for $4.50, but it has no AC adapter or AV cables.

They should pay someone to take that crap away.

Goodwill stores are usually quite a bit better. I donated a 20" Orion (Wal-Mart TV) I got at a garage sale. They priced it at about $10.
How well did that TV work. I have a Orion 25" TV. The picture is alright, but it has no inputs (other then coaxial), which is ridiculous, the only TVs I have ever seen like that are ones at hotels, do they do this on purpose? Plus wouldn't it be easier to put an RGB plug on it rather then a coaxial, it means less circuitry. The pixels are horribly aligned, giving the picture a skewed look in some places. Guess that has a lot to do with the timing of the circuit.

Me either. Can't say as I've ever seen any vintage gaming stuff. Mostly crappy xbox or playstation games.

In my neck of the woods, more often than not, you'll find something Genesis related. Mostly sports games, but you will find the occasional treasure. I found quite a few games in my collection that way. Hell, that's how my collection started. I got a Genesis, all the cords, 2 controllers, and 5 or 6 games for just $8.99. The same Goodwill has had a PSOne in the glass case in the front for $19.99 for almost 3 months now.

SNES power adapter is unusual in that it has a center pin inside the connector. The console takes 10v dc current @.85 amp. Any AC adapter rated around 8-15 volts will do so long as the center post has negative polarity.

Because of the center pin, it will most likely be necessary to get your hands on a genuine Nintendo adapter, or a better 3rd party one.

The AV cable for SNES is easy to find since both N64 and Gamecube use the exact same one.

Will a Sega Genesis (version 1 or 2) fit inside of it? Of course, If i cut the cables and turn them around, swapping the positive and negative. I ask because I have a box full of Genesis adapters that probably aren't going to be used any time soon.

Word of wisdom: Look in the electrical bins often and Genesis/Master System/CD/32x/Pico power packs can often be found. Depending on the model of Genesis console you are looking to power, SCD adapters will also power Genesis model I and Genesis model II adapters will also work for the 32X. Also, Master System and Genesis model I are interchangeable. The Pico adapters will power a Genesis model II as well. Genesis model I, Sega CD model II, and Atari Jaguar all used the same power adapters. FYI.
I was lucky yesterday found a Model 1 power supply but no Genesis and I didn't know I could use Jaguar one thanks for the info

Main issue I see with this setup is the center pin. Genesis adapter will not have the center pin that the SNES needs. Nintendo really hosed a lot of people with the design of the SNES power adapter...
