Never played any of them but Batman: the videogame, seems to appeal the best for me. The music is fucking kickass, just like the NES game wich I played to death.
So wich one would you recommend aka your personal favourite?

Sunsoft's Batman is a real gem. Other than that, I heard good things about Batman & Robin. All the other Batman games were absolutely horrible though. Especially Batman Forever.
The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.
Then we set about developing killer games.

batman and robin looks really good too, but the original Batman seems to have better atmosphere and serious better music.
Batman: The Video Game is good, Adventures of Batman and Robin is awesome (but terribly hard), Batman Returns is decent, Batman: Revenge of the Joker is bad and Batman Forever is terrible.
The only two I've played are Revenge of the Joker and Batman Returns. . . both of which are terrible.
The Sunsoft Batman game felt more like a really sluggish Robocop game to me, a far cry from the NES version. Batman & Robin is my favorite, it plays more like Gunstar Heroes. The only drawback is the pacing of the game with some really drawn out stages.
I like the Sunsoft Batman game best. It does have some great music, too. The Sega CD game's ok as well.
Batman Returns is best on the GG, imo - it's like GG Shinobi (made by the same people).
Batman and Robin is the best.It is the most impressive 16 bit game, in my opinion.I honestly can't find anything wrong with the game.
Less talk more action!
Batman ...Returns ?! on GG and SMS has music by YK ?! o_O

Yeah, that's uh, some game there. Yep. The speed clearly outdoes that of AoBaR. Mmhm. Yep, that's a helluva Batman game there. Puts Arkham Asylum to shame.
Srsly, people like this better than the NES version? That was the slowest PoS I've ever seen! It's like Altered Beast with less attacks and enemies. But slower! Holy shit, you people had better be sarcastic about universally praising that thing, cuz just watching it bored the shit out of me in one minute. I mean, at least AoBaR had action and NES Batman had decent platforming. It looks like all it has to its name are the cutscenes.
All I know is the GG version looks better, and actually sounds a bit better imo. It's just a bit smaller - but doesn't seem to make it more difficult like some games (eg Sonics)
Yep. Shinobis do, too - but you probably knew that already.
Well, someone's a grumpywumpy. :P At least Batman doesn't look like he's made of Batplasticine in the MD version.
It's definitely not as good as the NES Batman, but it's a fine game. Maybe it'd help if you were to sit down and just play it.
Then again, not every game has to appeal to everyone.
EDIT: Okay, I definitely gotta play Batman Returns on SMS and GG. Thanks a lot for mentioning it, guys!

Return of the Joker on the NES is great. So are the original Batman games. Batman Returns looks great on the Genesis and Sega CD, but has impossible bosses.
