    Ps2 NBA 2K7 (PS2) best B-Ball Simulator ever!

That's all... basically the best Basketball Sim I've ever played. I have 2K8 for the P3 and it's even better (graphically, controls are slightly different though).

I started a season with the Rockets and they're 23-1 atm Lost to the Mavericks and that's it.

I never knew sports games could be so fun. The "season" aspect is borderline RPGy imo. Having my players stats managed throughout the season, having the ability to do all the coaching (and everything that entails), down to the current play: this game has it all.

Love the controls! Wish 2K had let them be for the 2K8 version, but oh well. They switched some of the major controls up.

If you're big into B-Ball games and you haven't come across this one yet, definitely give it a try. If you're into 'arcade only' B-Ball games, then this most likely isn't your cup of tea.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to The Jackal again.

Jordan Vs. Bird for the NES is the best Basketball sim ever. . .

    Shaq-Fu is Number 2.

You can't be serious. Sims don't exist for the NES.

The title screen says it. This game is actually pretty good.

All the 2K games are fun, they're the only sim sports game I like.I recently found the Pro Evolution Soccer games on the Wii to be fun as well.

I have NBA 2K7 for PS3. Fun fact, it was the first 1080p console game.

They made it for the P3 as well? Interesting. I have 2K8 for the P3 so I'm set there for that console. The weird thing is that 2K8 for P3 which looks better than 2K7 for P2 doesn't grab me the same way the P2 game does. They switched the controls between the 2K7 and 2K8 series... they moved the turbo button along with a couple other crucial buttons imo.

I still don't understand to this day why the hell DEVs don't simply give the Player the capability to assign the controls to whichever buttons they desire.

They should be two totally different games considering the Rosters are different. In 2K8 for instance, Steve Francis is back with the Rockets. I haven't missed him in 2K7 though (26-1 as of last night, I'm destroying the entire league). I'm meeting up with the Timberwolves next month (twice in the same week), and they're the only team to have beaten me this whole season.

Random Praise - I love how when players are injured, they don't play as well. (run slower, shoot less accurately/etc)

Not true... do NOT mess with any of their Baseball games on the P3... they look like Aliased Garbage! The texture quality was crap on MLB2K9 (I read the exact same issues/problems are present in 2K10... apparently 2K doesn't do Baseball on the P3 very well)... I was lucky enough to be able to return it to Gamestop for the $20 I paid for it (it was new).

    NFL 2K3 for P2 = top notch
    NBA 2K7 for P2 = top notch

    NBA 2K8 for P3 = top notch
    NHL 2K8 for P3 = top notch

That's the 'only' experience I've got with 2K games... those, and the MLB2K9 I bought/returned.

I believe it was actually Sony's own NBA 07 that was the first 1080p title on the PS3.
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

NBA 2K7 was released a few days before the launch of the console.

It was released 24 hours before NBA 07. +1 rep to you.
