Default Little Big Planet (obviously the most insane Platformer ever made)

Mainly because the Level Editor was given away with the game. My thought/question is why hasn't Nintendo done something similar for the latest Mario Platformer engine (the Super Mario Bros for Wii engine that is)?

Why isn't Sega doing something similar for Sonic 4?

Being a copy cat at the right time can be a good thing. Am I the only one wondering why the other Devs/Pubs haven't jumped on this bandwagon?

There are hundreds of thousands of quality LBP maps available on Sonys Playstation network. There needs to be something similar for the Mario and Sonic franchises imo.

Anyone else feel the same way? I guess one can basically liken what Sony did with LBP to making 'modding' possible for the Console. Allowing gamers to make maps for their favorite games is a perfect way to bring Modding to the Consoles don't y'all agree?

Mod Nation Racers also offers track and car modifications.

LBP2 is going to have an insane amount of customizable gameplay.
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

No kidding...? Wow, how? Are you not into Platformers?

It's basically a 2D Platformer with a 3D engine (insanely cool physics, actually now that I think of it, I don't know of any other Platformers with the same quality physics, not off the top of my head anyway) with 3 different Planes of 'playing field' coupled with a Level Editor =ing Hundreds of Thousands of quality custom maps (with an insanely cool rating system on the Playstation Network so that you're guaranteed to find a map worthy of your time vs finding thousands of noob made/lame maps).

That sounds cool for the Racers game. More Console games need to jump on this bandwagon I think. As far as LBP2 having "more" things to customize... do you mean that the engine is going to have a bunch of new 'Functionality' added to it, new triggers, items, and ways to use items/etc???

You can make pretty much any type of game you can think of. It's quite an engine.

Wow, that's looking pretty damn neat... 'but' I'll believe it when I see it....

"RTSs... SHooters"... c'mon... how? I wanna see some more creative use of the new HUD feature.
