I'm not sure there's a mess of contradicting info from the google search I just did including an odd mention of a 4-kids remake with subtitles japanese voice actors??? (it was originally in japanese so WTF?) It's also crazy how many people think 4kids made the show.

This seems to be closer to what I read before.

I can't seem to find the original article though.

Just pick a game/movie out of the air and break the plot down. Let's take Sonic, in essence it's a rebellion against a dictator who has enslaved the citizens of the land (and turned them into robots, that's a nice twist)

Tell Rottenbeard you'll be using the music from level 3 on Gradius III.

This is bullshit. All these people are putting in time/effort/energy (money?) into helping you with this venture and you'll only reveal who they are IF people hang on until the very end. What if fans want to know who does the voice of character X? they have to wait until you finally get round to episode 80 to find out? Or if a newcomer wants to know who made it, they have to watch the finale to discover you*? Skip to the end because you're too ungrateful and lazy to give people the mention they deserve?

*This is assuming you don't follow the Mentalist/other programmes example of putting the creators name in the intro. Because you're oh-so-special.

If Ace is putting the credits at the end, maybe he should do a movie instead. Or 3 of them if need be. TV series are overrated, movies are way cooler. Of course, depending on how you make them.

Hmm... how does invading a neighboring planet and launching a sneak attack from there on Sonic's planet sound(basically a two-fer - Eggman invades one planet and takes it over, then launches his forces from there to take over Sonic's planet without anyone knowing)? Is that too cliche?

In the Wind or Underground? I'll definitely be using Underground from Gradius III(arcade version; I don't like most of the Super NES port's music); that's the tune that plays during the second part of the Stage:

Here we go again. These are the kinds of comments that get me all worked up. But anyways, now that you mention this, I think the team members will all be introduced during the introduction just like The Mentalist.

I'd definitely give his TV series a viewing if it ever gets off the ground, but that's the problem, getting it off the ground. Ace's idea needs serious amounts of cash, and when that happens, the risk of the copyright owner getting annoyed becomes ever more prevalent. It's like if Watermelon based Pier Solar on Phantasy Star. They wouldn't actually be able to sell it, making all the time and money put into the project worthless.

Cash? What are you talking about? There's no cash involved in this at all. This is just something I'm doing because I'm a big fan of the Sonic series. The series will be uploaded to my YouTube channel and that's it.

Yeah, but what you're proposing people aren't exactly going to do for free. So unless you're related to Bill Gates or Warren Buffet you'll probably have to settle for doing a flash version or something.

It's sort of like that 2.5D Sonic game someone posted recently. If I was skilled enough to create something like that I would use my talents to make something original. Which I can understand remaking the 2D games as there's already a foundation there.

See the below quote for my response.

I'm not so picky with my fan characters). I already have a script writer. I'll be drawing the characters, but I need someone else to draw the backgrounds).

You truly think the artists would want to be paid?

I would have to assume that most people would indeed want to be paid for doing work, yes.

Unless the artists happen to be close friends, they would probably like to be paid for their work.

That's why I'm trying to get locals involved in the project as much as possible(my script writer isn't local, just so you know. He's from Alaska. The one voice actor I have isn't local either, as she's in Toronto while I'm in Montreal - we're both Canadian, but we're in different cities). If anyone wants money from this, then don't even bother joining the team. This is meant to be fully non-profit; if anyone wants money from this, the hell with them. I'm not bringing 'em on the team.

Money provides motivation when things get too hard, and real life starts calling you back. Good luck keeping the interest going. People without any professional experience burn out fast.
