    Uncle´s network...

TELMEX´s $49/month which has calls to USA too, and unlimited national long distance, mine is the $31/month. Expecting the upgrade at the end of the year.

I need a better router... I am running this thru wireless. Any suggestions that don't require a PC hookup 24/7?

That's about as good as I get download wise with wired hookups. That upload speed is great. I'm paying Verizon $55 a month for what I get over DSL. Did I miss something that provided better upload speeds for a similar price?

If you're referring to my upgraded stats, that's from the FIOS mid-range package, which officially is 25-down and 25-up. You'll have to check to see if FIOS is available in your area as it uses a fiber-optic line they must install undergound.

I'm on a complete bundled package of phone, HD Channels, and Internet service. BTW, I love the HD Channels!

And the award for slowest everyday upload speed goes to...

And it barely made it to .07 (hit that at the very end).

It sure doesn't help (thanks by the way)

I literally can't play Doom or Diablo because they lag way too much, and it takes over a minute for every 60KB (yep, less than a KB per second... I've timed it).

What the hell does anyone need fast broadband for?

Sega channel only over ran on dial-up and that was the last great use for computer networks, fact.

Half cable. Dialup to upload, cable to download.

It's the fastest option out here, as I don't have fios, full cable or even DSL. It doesn't help that the phone lines are older than dirt either (it doesn't say "Outskirts of B.F.E." under my name for nothing ).

Does B.F.E stand for what I think it does?

FireBrandX, I had no heard of FIOS, and am fairly certain it is not available in my area. Since Verizon recently hiked my monthly bill for DSL alone from $40 to $55 a month, I am always willing to look into more options. I am especially sick of streaming TV crashing on my HTPC, however rarely that happens.
