So how many of you played and finished this? I thought it was one of the best sega games and had the most awesome music.
I always play as wolverine or magneto. I finished this when it first came out.

Yep, great game. Definitely one of the best.
One of the finest gems developed for Genesis. I think the sound quality (sfx + soundtrack) is almost incredible if you think about the technical limitations.
The voices (when your character is damaged) are very very clear, no notable signs of scratchy shit... A miracle.
And the sound track... Oh, the sound track is so great (and I don't like techno music). Each character has its own theme, which is amazing. My preferred is the Gambit's one.
The animation is incredibly smooth and the graphical effects of explosion, blizzard, broken ice or the fucking-great parallax; oh, it's all awesome.
The colors are used in the best way possible...
Aside from this hard limitation of 64 on screen colors, you would say that this game looks like a PSX game, not a Genesis game.
If someone could hack this game and adds 3 or 4 more characters, like Jubilee, Jean Grey, Storm and Rogue... Wow, it would be the greatest cartoon-based game ever...
I wouldn't go as far as saying it looks like a playstation game but it is certainly a cool game. Good graphics, challenging but fair difficulty, and good soundtrack. The soundtrack is particularly interesting with some track having variations depending on the character being played. Was that unique for the MD/Genesis?
Thought there was only a md/genesis one?
X-Men 2 Clone Wars is a great game. I prefer playing as Wolverine if at all possible, but I've tried playing the rest of the characters at times. This game is for Wolverine what Sunsoft's Batman is for its namesake. Also, I love every technical aspect of X-Men 2, it must have pushed the Genesis to its max for the action-platform genre.
I used to have this game, it was pretty fun. Too hard for me to finish though, and the fact that you started the game without a SEGA logo appearing until after the first level was a bit....strange.
Oh soz. No I don't think so.
I play this game too much. I've played enough times so that I've nearly memorized all the levels, who's best for each one (Wolverine is only best for about 4 levels or so in reality), and I can pretty much beat it every playthrough, sometimes without dying. More games should have been made like this one.
I'm not a comic book fan and haven't read a single X-Men comic. Is there still a big chance I may enjoy this game? You people say it's technically excellent and among the best on the console, so I'm really interested though I probably never will read any comics.

If you enjoy action platformers, then you definitely need to give it a go.
Thanks. I'll keep my eyes open for it.
