Is there any kind of mailing list that you can subscribe to for news updates on Pier Solar? I've looked on the official site and I can't find one, so I presume there isn't?

There isn't one, but people at the forum have spoken about some thing called "RSS feed" you can input "Pier Solar" into, which then bumps you with any updates to it. Not exactly sure what it is or how it works.
