I did experience some frustration in JSRF as well while trying to find my way around in some places, but I still think it was a pretty good game and I did like some of the music.

It's a good game and better when you focus on infinite grinds and good paint times. The music is the best thing to come out of JSR though. Hoping it stays intact for the XBL/PSN version.

Just got the Dreamcast version through the door, brand new, still in it's shrink wrap, all for the bargain price of 61p. Not played it yet, but why is the game so cheap? I thought it was one of the best on the system?

My guess would be a late second production run close before the DC was cancelled. It's also the sort of game reviewers who've played thousands of games under compulsion find refreshing but can be overwhelming for casual players, so it likely didn't sell so well as expected from its good press. Some of that popularity likely is exaggerated on the internet as well. Shenmue's probably a similar case, it doesn't sell for particularly much given its internet esteem.
Anyway stick out the first couple levels with JGR, once you've tamed the camera problems it becomes quite fun.

Yeah, I think you're right. I'm still on the lookout for Shenmue 1 and 2 but they're too pricey online at the moment, I'll wait a bit untill a find a honest seller who's selling them at a decent price.

I love the Jet Set Radio Games. The DC original was very good, but was certainly a bit difficult at parts. Not that difficulty on its own is bad, but in the case of this game I think it detracted from the fun and free atmosphere it had built up. To that end I enjoyed almost everything about the JSRF sequel/remake/re-image. I just wish they had kept all the original games music tracks and just added a few more. And I'm eagerly awaiting the XBL release and hoping they do it justice and don't just slap an emulated version of it up and call it a day.

I like it, I don't think its overrated. When I first got it I played it from beginning to end. If you need it to be more challenging choose the characters with lower HP because there is no traditional Difficulty setting.
