Sega Channel exclusives (or released in another countries, but only released through Sega Channel in US) - At least 12

SNES - 720

I don't have an actual list though.
I just went by GameFaqs if I recall.




I hate reading stuff that says "SNES had a much more expansive library in the end" when, no, no it didn't.

Here's my list, I make it 718, but a couple of those are variations (Carmen San Diego encyclopedia set, NFR carts etc). As far as I know this list is as exact as it gets, it's taken years of research and every game on the list has only made it there after proof it exists in NTSC format. Do with it what you will . I also have lists of NTSC box sets and re-releases if you're interested in them but they're probably a bit less complete.

712 sounds good to me, but there could be more. Like I said, all those games definitely exist in NTSC format, there could well be a fair few more that I am yet to see. If anything has anything to add to that list then please do as I'm always interested in new finds, photographic proof required .

A quick look through that list turned up these, a few of which were blaringly obvious to me as they are mistakenly put on most NTSC lists I've seen. The F1 games are a new one to me though.

Battle Frenzy - German only release of Bloodshot.
F1 World Championship Edition + '94 + '95 - F1 World championship got a Euro release but I've never even heard rumours of 94 and 95 releases in any territory?

The list is completed and edited for ALL "OFFICIAL" (NTSC) American Genny titles. I've also included those unlicensed games that maded it to retail stores, as they, too, would have been readily available to any child of the 90s living in America. With the exception of Legend of Wukong and Beggar Prince, any unlicensed game that may have made it to America post 1997 (after the system's death) would not be included (the first two I've included because the American Genesis releases catered strictly to Americans and were originally MD games anyways). As for Pier Solar, it shall be the first to be added to the list once it's released (and I can't wait ).

The total is an "official" 709 titles. Awesomeness! (And by "official" I mean titles that were very much available at any retail store in America during the system's lifespan). Again, I did not add Homebrew games other than Wukong and Beggar Prince translations because of their lack of industrialized development/delivery (in other words, if they're not "professionally" made and lack the distribution capacity for a large, humongous, audience, then it's not on the list ).

If you could add more, it would be awesome; as it entails more games relased for my beloved system.

If you could concur that there are, indeed, 709 titles (give or take Legend of Wukong, Beggar Prince and/or unlicensed titles), then it would also be awesome (since that would mean I will have a limit to go by in my "neverending" quest to collect every single genny title that was ever Distributed in America).

Too long for me to tell the difference, but what games are added/missing from your list, compared to Ninja's list???? (Which I found to be 712, not counting duplicates, and his list lacked Beggar Prince and Legend of Wukong, which I counted in my 714, so wow, 714 was lucky for me to come up with if I go by Ninja's list)

There are no Not-For-Resale extras or cardboard extras and such. Nor are there any short-distribution specials or even the blockbuster exclussives beyond Madden 93. In other words, my list pretty much includes every game that came out for the Sega Genesis in the United States receiving a wide distribution (including unlicensed titles, such as those that came from Wisdom Tree).

It does include Tournament Editions and such. However, if the game came out as a simple collector's edition, or even as greatest hits, I did not add it. I only added different (unique) games to the list (if games came as compilation titles, I did include those as "unique").

Think the differences b/t Jurassic Park and Rampage Edition, or NBA Jam and Tournament Edition. Simple changes that can make for a whole different gaming experience. Those make for different titles indeed.

Then again, I'm biassed, of course; since I actually made the list to cater my collecting needs. But I'll share them with you anyways

I am going for a complete, Official, Sega Genesis (American, USA, NTSC) library. Unlisenced (unofficial) titles that received a wide distribution are most welcome in that list (unofficial titles like those of EA that did make official status are not in question). Games like Legend of Wukong and Beggar Prince will also be added to my list because 1. they were released in another country during the lifespan of the system and 2. they received a wide distribution in the American market as an English translation. Pier Solar and any other that may receive a wide distribution here in America are a whole different story; but I will welcome them in my list, nonetheless (although all there is, and probably will be, is Pier Solar).
