Sad Sega Genesis M1 Composite Mod Problem

Hello, I am attempting a composite mod on a model 1 genesis but there seems to be a problem. The TV will receive a composite signal, but the colors are out of whack with some other weird stuff going on. So i went back and resoldered the points and made dead sure that there was no interference with the other points on the DIN connector or anything else. But still get a messed up signal. I tested the system with a couple games but got the same results. I uploaded some pictures that I got from my capture card (With "Lightening Force"):

EDIT: This isn't the "High-Definition" model 1, just the plain one.

Check your encoder for missing traces. Missing traces can cause this, maybe lost Luma?

Why would that be an issue?

Anyway, I would make sure you've got your connections all correct on the DIN connector. It's kind of hard to tell from the pic you provided, but it looks like you might've tapped from the composite sync pin as opposed to the composite video pin.

Yup, That was the problem. I searched (and found) a MUCH more detailed tutorial (I originally used a YouTube video) and then made the correct connection. I also noticed that the ground was soldered to the wrong point. The tutorial also fixed that. I know have a good signal with no interference or color problems.
