    Default All-in-one disc-based system

Since some companies have created 3-in-1 cartridge based clone systems, I was wondering what it would take for a company to produce a single disc based system that would play all the games of say PSX, Saturn, Dreamcast, Xbox, and Sega CD formats. Is this even remotely possible?
    It is finished!

The company would have to have a managing director called 'Lord Batshit Insane' who instantly approves all new product proposals using his trusty red crayon.

I don't see the reason to buy a console that can play every game made for every console. In a way, many games fells so handicap to play on other consoles then they were ment to be played on such as Gunstar Heroes, Streets Of Rage, Mega Man, Resident Evil and the list goes on forever. If you want to play a Playstation-game, get yourself a Playstation with the game. It isn't harder then that.

^funny you should mention feelings, because using an emulator and an adapter I can enjoy a game as much as playing it on its original console. It's called convenience, and I bet from here this topic will derail into a hardware-vs-emulation bullshit discussion. The internet is so predictable.

The reason why I'm not buying any unofficial clone (Ex: Nomad, which is official), is that when I'm saying my consoles to friends, they just don't know them. Like GenMobile, for exemple. Genesis is so much better known. Or even RetroN3. I'm proud to own the original system!
