Does anyone know if the version off of steam is patched or something and will run on Windows 7? I tried my original "copy" but it runs way too fast for any normal human to be able to actually play and beat the game.

That's the first Commandos game, yes? It definitely needs to be patched, the Steam forums will probably have the solution.
The sequel's still my favourite in the series

I went ahead and bought it from gog.com , their version works with Windows 7. I only remember playing the 1st one from an Eidos demo that had a lot of good games on it(FF7 and a few others). A friend of mine who was more or less a military fanatic bought it and I got to play a bit more of it. I've been playing the first Fallout so I think it must have triggered something due to the similar appearance because I haven't played Commandos in at least 7-8 years.
