Default Video Game Characters they blatantly Ripped-off from Famous People

This thread could not continue without Sega's most blatant rip-off:

    Ulala

    Lady Miss Kier
(in Groove is in the Heart)

Heck, she even says "Ooh La La, Lala lala lala" that later Sega attributes to the character's own name (Ulala). It's just awful the way Sega handled that lawsuit.

    Next up,

....Guy in the Cover of Red Dead Redemption:

Heck, if that's not Dennis Quaid in that picture, then I'd be dammed:

Not exactly a rip off but the similarities are quite funny!

It's already been stated that Dr. Robotnik was a caricature of Teddy Roosevelt.

Johnny Cage = Jean Claude Van Damme

    Vs

Reason? Midway wanted their own fighter so they could get some of that sweet money that was now going into Street Fighter machines,
so Midway was like "Hey Van Damme wanna be in a game?" but Van Damme was already busy with a game (which ended up never going anywhere)

so the team that would later be known as the MK Team created their own weird fighter,
and they created the Johnny Cage persona because thats what they probably thought of first when they were still hoping to get Van Damme.

Also, Johnny Cage's Initials are JC

    Jean Claude = JC

And of course this well known one. I wish I could find this photo shopped picture of Sting from Dune and blade runner put together to make real life Snatcher poster.

    Snake = Kyle Reese

A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

So, Sega made her pay $610.000 ? yet THEY 'borrowed' her intellectual property, not vice versa.

    Anyway, my pick:

...okay, it's just that one scene but yeah.

The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.

Then we set about developing killer games.
