Are you telling me that the game actually has the option to turn V-Sync on/off in it's Options Menu?

This would be the first time I've seen any option for V-Sync in a console game.

I've got Saints Row 2 for the P3... I wonder if the Pub did it differently for the P3.

This guys response makes me cringe, "Then there are those like myself who like the V-sync off because we enjoy the HD look that comes with higher framerates and don't mind the occasional tear."

Wow, I didn't know that HD was specifically related to framerates, lol. It's no wonder the Pubs and Devs aren't working harder... most of their audience doesn't know shit.

Very very true. That's why console gaming is making so much money right now, they are selling to a very ignorant market.

A couple very specific commercials aimed at making fun of people who support such mediocrity could have a profound effect on the way M. & S. market their games.

If kids had their noses rubbed in the fact that they don't know from shit, and that half the time they're supporting broken games: their tune would slowly change and their will to educate themselves on Games would grow.

Everybody hates me in one of my classes, because I always point how crappy a lot of stuff is on the consoles.I am not looking down on them ,but it is the truth. Some guy even said that Crysis doesn't look good because it's not on a HDTV.I then told him I that resolution and screen size are not proportionate in any way,and that I played my games on a 42" HDTV/24" 1920x1200 monitor. Then he brought up 3D and I told him the PC has had 3D for a while and at 60FPS, and that shut him up.

At least you're putting forth an effort to educate someone about it. I'm terrible when it comes to that kind of thing. Honestly, if I heard someone say something that dumb in my presence, I'd probably be an asshole about it. I know that doesn't help anything, but that's just my nature.

One of my nephews (he's about to be 14) is always reiterating 360 jargon from what he's heard his dumb shit friends say. It's painful correcting the stuff he repeats.

Honestly i don't care about v-sync or a lower framerate in the slightest one way or the other, people moaning about it to me is like moaning about a games graphics because a couple of textures look low res or something meaningless like that, it makes the game look slightly worse but really who cares? to me it just doesn't effect the fun factor at all.

Comparing what V-Sync does to lower quality textures is silly. Tears ruin Immersion for me which = less fun factor overall. comprende

I had planned on starting Metro 2033 and diving into that this weekend, but I can't 'play a game' in forced widescreen when I'm on a 4:3 tv, so there went that idea. I still can't believe that these nitwit Devs are allowed to put a game out there that doesn't support 4:3 but I digress...

Picked up Gotham Racing 4 & Forza 3 - both 'excellent' racing games... wow. Nice additions to my Race Car collection. Funny thing, I saw GT5 on the bigscreen while at Frys on Friday and man, that game was looking amazing. But in all honesty, I think it's kind of sad that it took Sony 'this' long to come out with their Franchise Racer while the 360 has had these other 2 quality franchises going strong all along.

Anyhoot, the system is nice. It's very quiet... I'd say a smidge quieter than my P3 Slim. Boots up just as fast as the P3. The only thing I don't like is that when I disconnect from the net, I have to re-enter my Wireless Password everytime I want to jump online for updates/etc... same crap as with the Wii. I'm not sure why Sony is the only one in the bunch to have gone the route of allowing the user to simply switch the Net on/off, but it sure is nice.

Can anyone recommend any top notch games for the system?... preferably Exclusive to the 360? Any cross platformers that are miles better on the 360, I'm all ears.

At this point, if a game has MP, then I definitely want it on the P3. If a game is SP, then my only contentions are AA (if it has it) & 100% V-Sync (has to be 100% of the time, can't be on/off).

If a game has no AA but 100% V-Sync Vs. another port that has 2-4xAA, but off/on V-Sync, then I definitely want the game with 100% V-Sync and no AA.
How do you have your wii/internet hooked up?

I don't need to put in some stupid internet password, it sounds like the problem is your computer internet setup, have it either auto logon to the internet, thus bypassing PW requirements or change the setting/plan to always be connected to the internet.

PS. While not exclusive, It's a must have in general, if you don't have Soul Caliber 4 yet, get it as soon as possible. Also nomatter what system you get it for, you'll want to get a better controller(both systems have crappy controllers that suck to no end for fighters).

I only care if their a big disparity. An example is Mass Effect 2.A character will have an amazingly detail head and the lowest res textures for clothes, and it's just ugly. That game had consolitis all over it.

    Let's see...

    Dead or Alive 4
Ninja Gaiden II (although the PS3 version of this has more playable characters and an online co-op mode... but the Xbox360 version has higher difficulty)
    Blue Dragon
    Tomb Raider Legend
    Tomb Raider Anniversary

The 360 has a few titles that won't even have readable text on a SDTV from what I've heard (like Banjo Kazooie).

Why not invest into a 37-42" Plasma that is 720p (I'd say Panasonic at this point)? This will also help the PS3 as well. I wish Pioneer was still around and making 42" 720p set, I loved the Kuro series.

Since I don't own a 360 I can't recommend any games, sorry....But for the love of god, could you say PS3 in the future! Everytime I see P3 or P4 I think of the Pentium 3 and 4 CPU's lol.

Maybe you could list all the games that meet your criteria and post them, then others can mark off what you should buy
