I don't need to put in some stupid internet password, it sounds like the problem is your computer internet setup, have it either auto logon to the internet, thus bypassing PW requirements or change the setting/plan to always be connected to the internet.

PS. While not exclusive, It's a must have in general, if you don't have Soul Caliber 4 yet, get it as soon as possible. Also nomatter what system you get it for, you'll want to get a better controller(both systems have crappy controllers that suck to no end for fighters).
It's not an issue with my Net. The issue lies with the Wii erasing my Wireless password every time I disconnect my Wii from the Net. The 360 does the same thing. My PS3 does not do it, it simply disables the PS3 from the Net and when I re-enable it, I don't have to enter my Wireless password.

Soul Caliber 4 - I've had it for the PS3 since I bought the system months ago. It's a great fighter... I love 2 on the PS2 as well. I'm sure 2 rocks on the DC with the AA being there to sharpen everything.

Tomb Raider Anniversary
I've taken DoA 4 off of my list after reading about it having Tearing issues. I don't want anything to do with a fighter with Tearing... plus, I've got plenty; I don't know why I put it on that list... guess because it was an exclusive and I was being compulsive.

I have all the Tomb Raider games for PC. One day with a newer build I'll play them on a big screen with the gamepad and all... AA hopefully and huge resolutions on all of them.

thks though

I definitely need to get those other 2 on my list. Thks for those I have Ace Combat 4&5 on the PS2 and they rock. I'm sure 6 is solid...? Does it Tear If not, will definitely be a purchase.

Why not invest into a 37-42" Plasma that is 720p (I'd say Panasonic at this point)? This will also help the PS3 as well. I wish Pioneer was still around and making 42" 720p set, I loved the Kuro series.

Since I don't own a 360 I can't recommend any games, sorry....But for the love of god, could you say PS3 in the future! Everytime I see P3 or P4 I think of the Pentium 3 and 4 CPU's lol.

Maybe you could list all the games that meet your criteria and post them, then others can mark off what you should buy
You guys know what I'm talking about when I say P2 or P3. If I'm not saying anything in regard to PCs then I don't see where the confusion arises tbh. I'll try to oblige you as best I can though.

This is the main reason why I have recently (in the last year+) fallen in love with gaming on a bigger screen while relaxing in my recliner. I'm now of the mind that I would like to eventually (in the next year+) build a new monster PC and output it's video to whatever kickass widescreen I have in the near future... coupled with using Gamepads of my choice, I'd like to try and see how many games I could play on my PC with gamepads (I'm not sure how many games support it natively, and if it's even possible to use mods to get games to use Analog Sticks/etc.).

Another reason I'm going big on current Console gaming atm is because I'm looking at my Consoles as 'backups' to my PC Gaming. Say my gaming PC goes out and I can't get it fixed for months, I need something to play in the meantime... and vice versa.

In short, oldschool should just get a USB controller, and stop complaining about every little(usually)unnoticeable issue with console gaming. He clearly doesn't like console gaming anyway, so he has little ground to be complaining about console gaming(It's not like someone came on here claiming consoles beat PCs in every way afterall).
I'm sick of people like you putting something as insulting to gaming immersion like Tearing (caused by V-Sync Technical issues) in the same boat with "little" and "unnoticeable issues"... such as misc texture resolution issues for instance. They are not one in the same.

Are you enjoying putting words in my mouth because no where have I uttered words to that effect. It's quite the opposite: I'm sincerely impressed with what these older lil PCs can do (the PS3/360/Wii)... I know what they're capable of (relatively well enough anyhow) and I am a customer of all 3 so I have every right to expect certain levels of adequacy will be met.

I disagree to an extent. Perhaps I am expecting too much from tech of that era... but at the same time, I expect MORE from S. & M. in terms of Quality Control. I feel very strongly that V-Sync and AA should have been considered just as appropriate as stable Framerates and the use of the best shaders DX9 has to offer. It is obvious to me that the number one standard of this Console Generation is solid FPS at the expense of anything and everything else.

Sacred 2 for example Tears EVERYtime I move the camera horizontally... which is what happens in ANY 3D game when V-Sync isn't on. To me, this isn't oversight: it's a glaring disregard for the customer who in this case is me... and I expect that a PC with similar specs to my PS3 would be able to play Sacred 2 with V-Sync on... probably no AA I wouldn't imagine (not to ensure steady Framerates that is) and perhaps not maxed out.

My point is that I expect games in 2010 to not Tear. These systems have been around since late '05 afterall.

If Just Cause 2 has MP, then I'll most likely want it on PS3. If it's SP only, then it really boils down to which version has locked V-Sync. Hopefully, the 360 will have both locked V-Sync and some AA.

thks

People snub the trophies and achievements offered on the consoles, but they really do add an extra bit of incentive to play a game longer. I really miss them when I'm playing PC games that don't have LIVE achievements, or Steam accomplishments.
Yeah, it's amazing how cheap the current Tech is... one can build a monster PC for so cheap it's insane.

For SP, I disagree. The only trophies that are worth having are MP related imo. What's the point of having achievements in SP... yeah, I guess you can see at a glance what all you've "accomplished" in a game, but past that... I think it's highly overrated.

Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone: I appreciate it.
