Differences between 480i - 1080P in various PS3/360 games

My Q6600 at stock 2.4 speeds with my 88GT w/512 at stock speed kills Dirt in XP32 (2 GBs of slow 800 DDR2). Nets 30-60 just fine. I say 30-60 because Dirt 2 on my PS3 does not do a solid nonstop 60 fps, lol. It's close but it drops at times so it's the same thing, 30-60.

That's in 1280x1024 w/4xAA, maxed DX9 settings, and V-Sync. AND that's on ooooooooooooooooooooooooooold 169.21 drivers

I'm saying you won't get a solid 60fps in Dirt 2. Sure you can hit 60fps, when there's little on-screen action. I could get 70 fps + in Metro 2033 with DX-11, but it's not going to be more than 40 when I have a screen full of enemies.

The hell it won't. My 88GT crushes Dirt 1... there's ZERO reason it wouldn't do the exact same thing with 2. 2 looks exactly the same.

The Minimums are 6800s for part 1&2. Part 2 has a different recommended video card than part 1 because of the added DX11 tricks that part 1 doesn't have. Because the engines are nearly identical (part 2 has some DX10/11 shit that one doesn't I suppose), the max video card needed (for DX9) for the resolution I play my PC at (1280x1024) is an 8800.
