who remembers this classic title port of the arcade? i wish sega would come out with another console god i miss those days waking up early in the A.M to watch an episode of video power seeing johnny arcade play all the cool systems that were out at the time.

woooosh, I think you missed that one. Either way, I love Fallyuz! For it being Namco's first Mega Drive game it looks (and sounds!) fantastic.
The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.
Then we set about developing killer games.

They should have called this game SUCKIOUS for the arcade and SUCKIOS for the md/genesis. One of the worst shmups ever made IMO. I'd play many other shmups that are generally considered as bad over this one.
