Except for the motion blur and contrast issues... some of the better GBC screens and the GBA look pretty nice in decent lighting.
I was thinking the original GBA screen was a bit crap, but then I picked it up again and found it quite clean and clear with pretty good color/contrast.

Then again, I never had problems using the original brick gameboy in anythign but extremely dim conditions.

You could always do this to it........

Viletim video out board (just stuck with composhit),
All associated original screen stuff removed,
cart slot desoldered and refitted to stick out of a slot in the screen
Mega Drive 2 control port wired in for 2 players,
    Stereo out.

Note the screen in this one was beyond rooted, had the big thick black line down the centre, so I decided I would try this.

Unfortunately like most of my consoles I don't get the time to play it.

That's pretty clever! Do you need to have two copies of the same game like regular two player GG experiences?

I know the Game Gear has some good games, and I try to enjoy it as well. But damn, it is such a pain in the ass on those screens. I think one of these days I am going to try to replace the caps and see what kind of a difference it makes.

Does anyone have any screen shots of before and after the cap replacements?

i disagree, they might not have had light but all the gameboys had sharp crisp displays, the gamegear is very fuzzy and so is the lynx but i think that has a slightly better screen.
