No, Spinball predated that series... in fact, the STH SatAM game planned directly following Spinball (prior to Comix Zone even being on the table) also was pitched prior to the show being aired.

As for characters... there's already a perfectly good example to work with: all the cameos made in Segagaga would make a great starting point for such a premise.

(note the pausing/slow pacing is largely due to the limitations of the Brilliance program used to animate the demo)
Yeah she had an actual cameo appearance in the 1st and 3rd Sonic Spinball bonus stages when you smashed open the capsules with the metal pinball. The others were Rotor, Tails, Bunnie and Muttski. No Antoine though

Hmm, that means they already had access to the pre-release SatAM material before any formal work started on the SatAM based game. (which started just after Spinball was completed) That's interesting to know.

Another thing about that game that could have been interesting is the sort of music it could have had once they broke through the rather poor default sound/instrument set of GEMS. (the later Comix Zone pushed a lot of custom patches iirc -and heavier sample use)

Chaos EC will probably never be seen in action. (outside of my planned fangame) He was the final boss for EC 3. Though, you could check on of the EC threads here on the boards to get an idea of what he looks like since I have talked to the Eternal Champions series creator himself.

Chaos EC is also mentioned a couple of times in Eternal Champions: Challenge From the Dark Side as well. Most notably, the secret character, Thanatos' story.
