Sega CD FOAM size?

Hey Guys
I want to make a sega cd foam insert for some of my games... none of mine have any.. can anyone advise on the size of the foam?

As in the little block that sits on top of the disc in the case?
I just measured some of mine. they're 4.75" long by 2.5" tall by .5" thick.

.5" is too thick. It's more like half a centimeter. .5" is more like the thickness of the jewel case itself.

Acctually some are thicker then others. If the manual was thin then you got a thicker one.

I assure you it's correct. I measured 3 of them. All were within 1mm of each other.

I need some cases too what do they go for on ebay etc for empty ones?

Remember that the foam compresses (it's FOAM, not wood or concrete ), and it still needs to provide enough internal pressure that the case doesn't crack when someone picks it up with their thumb on the lid. Most cracked cases come from missing or "dead" foam.

Not sure anymore, but someone was making and selling some on eBay that were pretty much identical to the factory ones. Also, remember that there are different thicknesses for different games. They are not all the same.

I was test fitting them for him and he ended up sending me a butt-load of them. Nice guy.
