You just made my whole point right there. If the game is to be playable on American systems, then it has to have English included. If you're going to go through all the trouble of crafting a box, manual, and cartridge, then it's obvious that an attempt at a professional release is being made.

There are so many fake sites out there that want to rip you off, and many (if not most) use spotty English. Before I'm asked to spend my money on something, I want to know that it's legitimate. That's all.

So if somebody writes in spotty english don't think that they are a fraud but just think of them as foreign. When you learn to speak perfect dutch/french/german/bulgarian/..... come back and complain about his spotty english.
If I'm going to release a game in a territory that speaks Dutch/French/German/Bulgarian, then I should make it a point to use those languages as correctly as possible, right? Advertising on a retail site is not the same as posting on a forum.

You're right , about my spotty english , hopefully, all the game text, and manual gonna be reviewed by a native, i just didn't wanted to bother my us pal with the website translation (manual & box text are more important )

Anyway, with this demo released, you got a proof that we're serious and we really got a game to release :-)

I have been thinking about this for a while and if it were released I would probably buy it just to say it was part of my collection. It's always nice to have interesting things along side the run-of-the-mill games.

    No, it isn't dead.

Pascal has been very busy, and so the website being down may just be a reflection of this.

    Somebody release this game NOW!!
There isn't enough gambling and nudity in my Mega Drive collection and I for one find that a disgrace.

Well, this is certainly not the kind of game I was expecting. Genny or not, IŽll wait for Fengshen Yiengwhatever and ignore this product.
There's a huge different between creating a game from the ground up, and patching/translating a game. I can almost guarantee, if Beggar Prince would've been created from the ground up, you still would not see a release and probably never would.

There are 1000s of completely translated games, but only a handful of commercial quality homebrew games. This should give you some idea of the complexity of creating an entirely new game.

Usually the biggest challenge facing a homebrew programmer is the lack of graphics or graphic artists.

Hum, no. There aren't 1000s of completely translated games by any stretch of the imagination. Seriously. Translation projects that actually get done are a lot rarer than people seem to think, and certainly demand more hard work than you'd think as well. A quick search at romhacking.net, which houses a majority of translation patches released, turns up 365 results for complete translations, and that includes a bunch of platform games and such that really only had an intro or a title screen to translate and were mostly done for practice. The very first MSX fan translations were done in 1993, but if you figure that that particular scene's really been going since about 1997-almost 11 year now-that's about 33 every year on average (probably a lot less now) with hundreds of people working on them. Granted, those are the English translations, but that's really the core of it all in terms of productivity.
As far as commercial quality homebrew games? Dude, this isn't one. This would have barely passed as a mini-game in a RPG or something (if it weren't for the nudity). Also, there are homebrew scenes in several asian countries that produce tons of game, some of which are really excellent. I'm not saying it's not hard work, especially when it's a labor of love, but you're really off-base here.

Hehe, I know I was a bit harsh. I know the complexity of creating an all new game very well since I am part of the Tavern RPG team, which is a huge homebrew product.

What I wanted to express is that the choice of game was somewhat unlucky, because only interesting for few gamers. An action game would have gained more attention.
