Since the umass site is down, I don't remember what the pinout is. Also, if anyone has the corresponding contact points on the motherboard, that would help. Thanks!

I am not sure why but you seem to keep posting Genesis related threads in Insert Coin. These would belong either in the Genesis Does forum or Tech Aid.
The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.
Then we set about developing killer games.

The pins themselves are right, console numbering is indeed different.

What nobody ever mentions on diagrams like these are if you are looking at the cable or the socket. That is a VERY important thing to note, especially when wiring up the 5 VCD connector. Don't want to send 5 volts to some place that would rather not be having it!
In case anyone cares, here's the pinout:
1 - Mono Audio
2 - Ground
3 - Composite Video
4 - 5V
5 - Green
6 - Red
7 - C Sync
8 - Blue
I'll open up my Genny tonight and figure out what pins go where...
