Video Games that Piss You Off

I just realized that video games really, really piss me off. The last three video games I've played had me foaming at the mouth in rage as they continued to not make sense, be ridiculously hard, or both. Those games were ESWAT, Rayman, and Castlevania:Symphony of the Night.

Castlevania pisses me off naturally, but this one is more complicated than most Castlevania games. With its maze-likeness and being given awesome weapons right away just to have them stolen from you so that you have to use really shitty weapons afterwards really pisses me off. Plus, there's a level-up system, so I usually get killed easily because I haven't leveled up enough, so I have to go grind. It sucks.

Rayman is either the easiest or most ridiculously difficult game I've ever played. Within the first 2 minutes, I was bored by how easy it was, but in the next few minutes, I died five times. Not because there were a lot of enemies or there were quick, difficult jumps, but because I couldn't see. Rayman takes up too much space on the screen and the game is so zoomed in that I find myself falling into pits of apparently deadly water that were just out of sight. Normally in games, this isn't much of a problem, but it happens all of the time. The problem could easily be solved if the game was just zoomed out a bit.

ESWAT just kinda sucks, which is bothersome.

Now that I'm done ranting, what are some games that really piss you off for whatever reason, whether it be bad controls or constant confusion or outrageous difficulty or all three?

I recently had a control-throwing moment in Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne.

I had just leveled up, and the magatama I had ingested gave me an extra point of strength. A very rare and very welcome occurrence. The very next battle, before I could save, one demon turned my main character to stone and the next shattered him. Cheapass kill. So frustrating.

I'm playing Sub Terrania and, balls this is a SHUMP Chuck Norris would get frustrated at. this game has so much going on, getting attacked around all corners, losing fuel every 10 seconds ( especially when your in the caves ), learning how to steer your ship around hard corners without damaging your ship and much more little details that want you to go apecrazy on the game and throw it out your window.

The original Castlevania makes me want to break my NES controller.

Excitebike at times is a real pain in the ass too.

Odin Sphere. I love it but I wish it was as simple as it looks. The mixing potions together makes my head hurt.

Yoshi's Island DS: I don't know if it's because I'm getting old, but having to relearn the location of Red coins and Flowers on moving stages or NOT being able to go back to a certain point of a stage just made me put this game back into it's casing and bring out another one.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series has pissed me off on many occasions. A lot of tasks require that you essentially make perfect runs, so if you fall once in the session, you have to start over or else you'll end with a shit score.

LittleBigPlanet also pisses me off because whenever a good level is created, moderators delete it for copyright purposes or because it was just too good. I hope LBP2 will be different.

The special stages in Sonic CD piss me off so much it's not even funny (hard to tell whether or not you're going to hit the UFO), as do the fishing stages in Sonic Adventure (you can never get that freaking frog!)

I can't recall the last game that really irritated me, suppose I should consider that a good thing. There have been good games that annoy me at certain points, but by the end all is forgiven.

Just pretend it's acid, (or the characters are on acid) and it will all make perfect sense.

What? Potion mixing was awesome! I had a lot of fun with that. What was annoying was cooking. I was always either short on money or ingredients.

...it honestly never occurred to me that either of those might be bad things. I thought they were givens. Kinda like gravity is just part of life on Earth. ..you've made me think.

Yoshi's Island is the only game thats made me yell out in anger, and not be 5 years old.
I don't remember which stage, but it was after "Touch Fuzzy get Dizzy"
Also, the second stage of the casino zones in Sonic the Hedgehog 4. Basicly mutilated one of my favorite zones in the Genesis titles.
