Default Will Genesis games ever stop being fun???

Ive collected games for years now. But recently ive decided to get all the Genesis games/boxed for now. And eventually complete. Ive got about 300 now and the other day picked up Rambo 3. It is NOT FUN AT ALL ive tried all the usual stuff to liven it up a bit it's still a pile of crap. So then i got thinking. Will a day come when after we've spent hundreds if not thousands on our collections. That thell just not be enjoyable one day??? like maby a character drops dead after so long or something. Maby im just going nuts but i want to have every Genesis and keep them! FOR EVER!!! Ive always thought that Genesis games were eternally fun! no im just a little worried.

Everything "gets boring", it's just a matter of time. Although frickin' sweet, Sega cartridges weren't meant to be totally awesome forever.

Just enjoy 'em now - they may have donkey years of "fun" left, so don't worry!

IDK if people who have played Genesis since day one are just now getting around to getting bored by some of the games I have a long way to go since I just started playing Genesis about 2 weeks ago

I've never got bored playing any of my Genesis games. Unless it's a game that flat out sucks. I can still play all my Sonic games and never get tired of them. I can guarantee I'll still be playing my Sonic games well into my 30's and 40's.

I also still enjoy playing Combat on the 2600. As simple as the game looks and is, it is still fun to me after all these years. Why? Because it has a formula that works. It's a fun multiplayer game.

Some games just weren't fun to begin with, ummm Rambo III probably falls under that. While other games I think will always be fun. I've been enjoying the Sonic games since they game out and I can honestly say I've never gotten bored of them. The same goes for Phantasy Star IV, Mortal Kombat II and many other games.

Yes, Genesis games will officially stop being fun at February 18th 2011 at 4:27 PM Eastern Standard Time. You'd better get ready.

It depends on the game. Some games I that I loved when I was younger I can't play now. Others have infinite replay value.

Like all games on any system I'll eventually get bored of them but after a few months I may feel like playing them again.

So the answer is yes and no. The world needs both old games and new games.

If i was rich and could just buy an entire cib Genesis collection, while it would be awesome, the fun of the hunt would not be there.

Sooo... nobody commented on the fact that this is a troll thread based on the "will my games ever stop working?" thread?

I'm not trolling, this is simply a parody thread. I'm making a subtle joke at the other thread because I felt like it. If you read over the first post it comes across as pretty silly.

It sounds like this is not the right course of action for your collecting 'needs'.

Why spend 'all' that money on CIB when you're most likely (judging from the sound of your post) going to get burned out on this stuff at some point?

Of course Genesis games will be fun forever, with exception of trashy games.
