YESS!!! Akuma confirmed in Marvel Vs Capcom 3

It being the new year, I figured I would check to see if Akuma or Ibuki have been confirmed, and yes(while we had plenty of evidence that he would be, it wasn't officially confirmed until now) Akuma has been confirmed(but no word on Ibuki at all though) as a unlockable char. Also if things don't changes, he's gonna be a pretty easy unlockable at that(2000 PP, which can be possibly collected from a single playthrough of Arcade mode).

Needless to say I'm pleasantly surprised that not only is he not dlc, but he should be fairly easy to unlock as well.

Also Taskmaster has been confirmed as well(I think he's an obscure marvel char if I'm not mistaken. I've heard of that char before, but don't recall him being in a capcom game), but with a whopping 8000 PP price, yikes(it was painful to pay the 5000 prices on some of the char in MvC2, so he'll be left for last by many, I'm sure).

However he look like a mix between Captain commando, spidy, and possibly Captain America ability wise, so he's probally gonna be annoying as hell to go up against.

If Capcom is smart, at very least, they'll have Ibuki for dlc, she's one of the coolest/better char in the SF universe, and her going up against Akuma leads to very interesting fights).

PS. It's surprising there's no Guile confirmed, however that could be simply because there's a Guile clone in the game(there's atleast 2 clones/highbrids in the SF universe as is, and with all these new char, It's highly likely there is another one, but I'm kind've sad they feel the need to reinvent Guile, when he's perfect as is).

Yea me too, boy am I glad I don't need to keep worrying, they sure took their sweet time about it, didn't they.

Now the Roster looks pretty damn amazing, the only other thing I would ask for, is Ibuki(but that's wishful thinking at best).

PS. Also on a slightly different note, MvC3 has mad potential to actually be better then MvC2(which from the beginning, and then after the SF 4 fiasco, I would've never even imagined the #1 spot would be up for grabs, but everything seems to be coming together nicely).

That depends, do you even like the fighter genre to begin with? If you do, then I'm gonna have to say yes(if you're a Akuma user you of course gonna want him, and if you're not, you should still want him, because he's an amazing char, that when you play against someone who really knows how to use him, will lead to awesome fights).

If none of the above applies to you, and you like the genre, you must be a Akuma hater, inwhich case I say, get the hell out of my thread lol. If you hate Akuma so much, why are you posting in a Akuma thread. Just post something like, "oh crap, I'm gonna get my but handed to me now", and then gtfo lol.

Very possible actually, since I don't buy every fighter(seeing how It's pointless to play a fighter that Isn't in the top 3, except for perhaps old times sake).

I have a bunch of fighters, but out of all the fighters ever, It's only a small fraction of the massive amout of fighters out there(alot of fighter collectors/gamers have 3DO, graphics 16 games, and such), plus I'm not a fan of the Mortal Kombat series like a lot of people(especially around here) are.

He doesn't really have a solid home-comic though he originated in the Avengers. He's shown up everywhere at one point or another.

He studies heroes and villains and can mimic any physical move that he's witnessed. The power is called "photographic reflexes." He uses this ability most often to train other super villains and even super heroes and government agents. He's most famous these days for his mercenary stuff and working side by side with Deadpool which is probably the main reason he's going to be in the game.

I don't mind Akuma in the game, but I would like a Marvel equivalent such as Onslaught or Thanos or some sort of power hungry villain that mirrors Akuma's quest for domination.
