I actually like Legion and posted a favorable review of it here.

I like dozens of PCE shooters, but my favorite would have to be Macross 2036.

Kiaidan 00 is a great game, Curryman. I hope you're able to find a good deal on it.

I have been following that site for a while. I can totally relate with your review of "Final blaster". I just acquired that game a week ago, and the last 3 levels piss me off. The 5 continues don't help either, damn you Namcot! It's still a good game IMO.

Thanks for the kind words about the site, guys. I'm glad you enjoy it. And I agree, VGDen is another nice site for PCE info.

Hey Tom, it really has been a while. I remember when you hooked me up with Shada, and it ended up being one of the first games I posted about on Duomazov.

And back on topic -- my favorite HuCard shooter is Sinistron/Violent Soldier. It has great music and it's very challenging during its later levels.

Hey runinruder, your site is probably the best for pc engine reviews, at least in content. I'd love to see reviews for Sword Master, Kisou Louga 2, Hisou Kihei X Serd, Macross Eien No Love Song, Neo Nectaris, Langrisser and Solid Force.
Oh wait you don't like strategy rpgs sorry about that

My favorite PCE shooter is either Lords of Thunder or the first Spriggan. Choosing a favorite shooter for the PCE is HARD, only console that can take on the Saturn for the title of "king of shooters".
    (IMHO, PCE wins)

On the Genny it's easier, Lightening Force, Musha or Robo Aleste. The rest is good but not even close to these 3.

On the Snes there's not even a choice, the answer is always Axelay. Super Aleste is good but it has one of those really crappy weapon systems, and the rest is filled to death with slowdown. R-Type III is acceptable too but just barely. Anyone that says Starfox needs to be slapped in the face.

Yes, Violent soldier is very hard. Some say it's a game of luck and not skill. I am not sure, because i never got past the 4th level.

Actually, Eternal Love Song is so good that even I like it.

On the Genny it's easier, Lightening Force, Musha or Robo Aleste. The rest is good but not even close to these 3.
Lightening Force is definitely incredible, and the Alestes are no slouches. But my personal favorite is Wings of Wor.

I'd say Axelay is the best of the ones that were released in the US, but I prefer Scrambled Valkyrie.

I think it involves a lot of strategy, personally.

I didn't even know about scrambled valkyrie! Just saw a youtube video... seems I need to... hum... *obtain*... another game for my SNES collection, dammit another TOP 50 I'll have to ruin, as if the PCE wasn't enough.

Certainly seems to be one of the better SNES shooters, possibly competition for axelay. Nice.

I never see much discussion on Hawk f-123 for Pc engine. Am I the only one who likes it some extent. I know it gets a bashing on the net, and Pc engine Bible recommend avoiding the game. It's not really that bad IMO, you just gotta hang in their until you obtain a fully powered laser and homing missiles in the 2nd level. I managed to complete it once, took me few plays.

I like it. I did a positive write-up for it here.

I am waiting for your review of Image fight II mate, I can't wait to read your opinion. It's one of my personal favorites, another one of those games that gets lukewarm responses on the net.

Sorry, any site that rips on Faussete Amour and Gradius doesn't get any respect from me.
