Female gamer thread, five pages. Not surprised.
I've seen kids under 15 collecting these consoles. Collecting might become more competitive even with access to top classic titles via the VC, emulators, etc. AVGN is helping too. The only reason why my older brother gave a shit to try out the first Zelda game on the NES is because of him bashing consoles that he never knew existed. That's funny, because he called me (being a Genesis guy anyway) a shut-in, anti-social hermit which doesn't make any sense, since playing multiplayer NBA Jam requires people to be physically there unlike the online gaming that he partakes in.

I didn't notice any contradictions, I was actually pretty surprised by what good a job she did, being that she's putting on a silly voice.
Gameplay wise she stated that she liked the new additions to the NES version as they added variation (at which point "more faithfull" wouldn't be a plus point), and she said the SMS version has crap hit detection (which it does, especially for hair pull and throw) these elements for her add up to the NES version being "more fun to play"
She also said the NES version has better sound (reviewing the NTSC versions), and better animation.
If anything, she went a little bit too easy on the SMS version, it really is dire.
And I have a brown shirt that is kinda like that shirt in the video. Just it's a male dress shirt, not a female one. The cuffs look the same haha.
The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...
Throughout history, suspicion has always bred conflict. The real conflict, though, resides in people's hearts. This conflict has just begun.

To appeal to gamers?
This whole "DoOd, this chick likes games" thing would have been awesome circa my early teen years, but age and experience has taught me that a significant other that *doesn't* play games is way better.
And the chick in the video didn't do anything for me.
Sometimes what game system one grew up on has little to do with age and a lot to do with economics. I'm a good five years too young to have grown up on the NES, but it's what happened (because my parents were not exactly well off.)
Also, I thought the internet realized girl gamers aren't as uncommon as previously believed?
