I have a SNES system that powers on but doesn't play the games after cleaning the pins with a tightly wrapped shirt around a card as well as cleaning the games with alcohol. What would be the next thing to check?

What exactly is it doing? Just a black screen? Or a colored, garbled screen? Have you tried to insert cartridges partially, tug on them a little while they're in there, etc? If there is oxidation on the pins, it can be challenging to resurrect.
Are you using RF out or AV out?
I have a Turbografx console that gives no picture with RF but it's fine with composite out. I thought the thing was dead when I first bought it but it's just a bad RF modulator.
With RF or composite, its the same result. Turn on power, screen flashes red for a nano second, then solid black. Tested the game, cables, and power supply with another SNES and it works fine. Moving the cart around doesn't seem to help, and the pins look pretty clean so I'm thinking that it's something on the board itself. Should I start by checking the caps?
