    Default Easy games to recommend?

After realising that I really am an awful gamer who can't even complete Sonic 1 (get as far as Labyrinth Zone Act 2 without cheats) or Castle of Illusion (Stage 3-2, the inside the waterfall type stage), I really want to see if there are any easy games for someone who has a poor reaction time to things. For once I want to play a game to see the ending without using savestate abuse or cheats and to enjoy it at the same time. A tiny challenge at the most but nothing too taxing especially since don't have much time to play a game for weeks.

They have to be enjoyable, good (not Barney's Hide and Seek) and bonus if it is a well known game.

RPGs, puzzle games and strategy games are completely out of the question.

You should try Undeadline! It's a nice shooting game only released in Japan, but a real gem! There are many weapons and three types of shields for your advantage, you can choose the order of the stages and even rapid fire - so easy, so fun! I only needed about a couple of plays per day for two weeks before I beat it on normal difficulty. Easy mode should be even less time consuming than that!

Decap Attack is easy. I can beat the game with 30 lives left.

How much time do you put into deciding that you are bad at a game? For Sonic 1 for instance, just do the level cheat code to Labyrinth Zone Act 2 and keep playing it until you beat it.

Shinobi III is worth a shot. It's an excellent game and generally considered to be pretty easy.

Ecco Jr. is really easy. I just yesterday played it for the first time and it's really pretty decent as far as kids games go.

World of Illusion is VERY easy.

Streets of Rage 2 on Easy is not exactly challenging.

Thunder Force 4 (aka "Lightening Force") with 100x life cheat is still fun enough to beat.

Wonderboy in Monsterworld is a lot of fun and not too challenging.

    Shining Force wasn't too hard.

And neither was Phantasy Star IV.

Sonic 2 is slightly easier than Sonic 1 (aside of the final boss).

And Castle of Illusion has a Practice mode.

The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.

Then we set about developing killer games.

Golden Axe 2. I'm an awful gamer too, but always finish it in about 20 min

    Love that game.

Hey join the club! I haven't beaten Sonic 1 yet either. I've only gotten to 3-1 before dying. I do plan on beating all the Sonics sometime in the distant future. I admit I suck at playing Genesis games but hey that's the point. They were made to be replayed over and over until you gain the skill and satisfaction of beating these games. Easy games would kill the enjoyment factor for me especially old school games whose actual length is lucky to be an hour total.

But if you want a break from the challenge once in awhile, I find these few games to be a relative cakewalk:

    World of Illusion
    Arrow Flash
Streets of Rage 2 (on lower difficulties and max lives)

From what I remember, Rambo 3 wasn't very hard. Though, I don't clearly remember how difficult that was when I played it last time.
I remember Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The Hyperstone Heist as the only game which I beated on first try in childhood.
    Also, Home Alone 2.
Maybe Daze Before Christmas will be just right for your skills.

    Lol!
    For real:
I would say World of Illusion, it's probably one of the easiest (platforming) games.

Indeed, World of Illusion offers wonderful graphics and good gameplay while being very easy. It even has some replay value because the way through the levels differs depending on if you play as Mickey, Donald, or in 2-player mode.

Turtles: Hyperstone Heist is easy but fun too. Nice enough visuals and sound and good brawling.

Soleil/Crusader of Centy is an easy, yet charming and audiovisually very well done Action-Adventure like Zelda.

I don't remember Story of Thor aka Beyond Oasis as a particularly hard game, so maybe that's worth a try.

And I agree with the Golden Axe 2 recommendation. That is the easiest of the GA games.

Most beatemups are easy if they give you enough continues. Streets of Rage 1 and 2 and TMNT Hyperstone Heist are good, easy ones. I'm surprised about GA2 though, I haven't been able to beat the final boss, and people are saying it's easy? Wonder if there's a trick that I'm missing.

I always find spamming jump-then attack works wonders.

As for the topic: Wiz'N Liz is a very easy and additive game.
