Kokujin, you are on a video game forum (and a Sega one at that). Blowing things out of proportion compared to real life is the whole point.

Yeah, I'd prefer to not give Activision money. They'll just turn around and start making more crappy games.
Though I suppose it's more correct to say, I really don't care to buy Wii GoldenEye anyways. But I guess it doesn't hurt to ask: Does it use the infrared tracking for controlling the camera/gun crosshairs? If so, is it reasonably accurate?
To me, Sega died whenever they were merged with Sammy. But hey, they went out with STYLE on the original X-Box IMO. I spent AGES on Panzer Dragoon Orta, Jet Set Radio Future, and Sega GT. ESPECIALLY Panzer Dragoon Orta, it was a classic. I also enjoyed the GBA Sonic Advance titles, but then the re-release on Sonic 1, you could just tell the compainy started taking damage. Sonic Heroes didn't help. By the time Shadow came out, it had its foot in the grave. Maybe they'll make a oomeback one day, but I'm not holding my breath. But I also feel Nintendo isn't what they used to be, as well as what used to be Square, FF for me struggled in the PS1 years after 7 (8 was bad but 9 was a comeback), but than 10 damaged it more and the whole MMO thing killed it for me.
And people wonder why I am almost exclusively a retro gamer anymore (although I DO own a PS3 and a few titles for it....)
I'm currently enjoying Sega Rally Revo!
We knew Goldeneye wouldn't be a dirrect remake of the original(as in the maps had to be redesigned from scratch due to the MS BS, but not only did it literally have nothing in common with the original(infact even the basic systems are completely different), but it was a half fast developed POS, that wasn't even beta tested.
Valkyria Chronicles and Ryu Ga Gotoku games are Sega games I'll always buy.
Binary Domain is an interesting title. It is being developed by Sega and has Toshihiro Nagoshi involved in the project.
A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."
Finding out that Phantasy Star: Eternal Planets and Eternal Hunters were both gonna be mobile phone games saddened me deeply.
Sega is not that bad if you look beyond the Sonic games and even with those Colors was half decent. Sega is just not that good anymore either. Technically they only publish Sonic 4 as well since it's made by Dimps. They're more of a publisher than a developer these days and I remember them saying they'd like to be the EA of Japan. They don't seem to be able to develop triple-A titles on their own anymore. They're in no way shape or form the same company as they were when they were hardware developers and it's unrealistic to expect they ever will be again at least under the current management.
Their arcade division is still okay too and "arcade" has always been what I most associated the brand with but since arcades are practically dead so are they and arcade ports to home consoles aren't as usual or profitable as they used to be with a few exceptions.
I think somebody just needs to get in there who knows how valuable the brand name Sega is along with its really historical franchises that could easily be huge hits again if given the love and care.
Al least 90% of current gen games don't interest me. I'm rather apathetic towards the industry in general. Most RPGs are cookie cutter anymore, most FPSs are the same thing repackaged. The resurgence of some platformers in a sort of 2.5D form is interesting, but not enough. All anyone does now is make the same game they made 10 years ago but with better graphics. Not enough for me-- been there, played that.
