Either way, each game is a great, thus thought I would suggest it/put it out there(If you loved SMT: SJ, I can't imagine you not loving EO 3 as well).
I really, really liked Etrian 2, and I have been wanting to get my hands on the 3rd one. Strangely enough I haven't seen it in any stores yet.

That's because It's so great, I doubt anyone would trade it in to GS, and non strictly gaming stores usually don't carry ATLUS games, although Best Buy usually carries them(they just don't order a mass supply).

You can get them on amazon or ebay, and since It's not a very old game at all, combined with the fact ATLUS is no long a low print run company, you can get them dirt cheap new.

You'll really love EO3 then, everyone agrees that EO3 blows EO2 out of the water(pun not intended lol).

I mostly got a DS to play Mario Kart & Tetris. Also spent ages on Elite Beat Agents / Ouendan, and Animal Crossing.

The only racing games that I know of are Mario Kart DS, Ridge Racer DS, Burnout Legends, Micro Machines V4, Ferrari Challenge, Race Driver (uses the same engine as Ferrari Challenge but you can make your own tracks), Race Driver Grid (ditto), Sega and Sonic All-Stars Racing, Diddy Kong Racing DS, Speed Racer, Asphalt DS (a port of them mobile phone racing games I believe, it was an early title) and I believe some of the Need for Speed games are on there.

Out of that list I would recommend Mario Kart DS, Sega and Sonic All-Stars Racing (if you aren't fully into Mario Kart DS or want to play as Sonic), maybe Race Driver/Grid and I'm not sure how good Micro Machines V4 is (but since it is a Micro Machines game and they are usually pretty good). Ferrari Challenge is quite difficult to play in terms of difficulty but looks pretty good so give that a try, Ridge Racer DS has a steering wheel gimmick as a touch screen (I think you can use the D Pad though) and is also a port of Ridge Racer 64, Burnout Legends is a very bad port. I haven't heard about the others though and sadly enough I don't have enough knowledge of the DS to make a proper judgement.

For racing games, it is just better to get a PSP as there is a much larger range of them to play (including OutRun 2006 that I recommend straight away) and in the case of Burnout Legends and Ridge Racer much much better than their DS counterparts. Also they are more closer to their PS2 counterparts so if you find a game that you like on the PS2, chances are that the PSP also has one.

Racing games are better on the PSP.
The only really good one on DS is Mario Kart.

Isn't Etrian and SMT developed by the same team for the DS?

I don't know sorry(probally not though, complately different styles), because for some reason, unlike EO3, SMT: SJ doesn't have a list of the Japanese developers that worked on the game(I don't know why their other games hagve their names listed in the instruction book, yet SMT: SJ doesn't).

    Hrm.

Knights in the Nightmare (very yes!)

Sonic Rush (best Sonic game of the last decade)

SMT: Strange Journey and Devil Survivor

Kirby Canvas Curse and Kirby Super Star Ultra

Dragon Quest IV - VI, IX (although IX wasn't exactly great), and Rocket Slime (friggin' fantastic.)

Final Fantasy IV (damn good remake of one of my favorite FFs)

    Elite Beat Agents!

    Rhythm Heaven

    Henry Hatsworth

Megaman Zero Collection (because I missed out on them for the GBA.)
