Default Got a non Sega request...

Not sure if this would be the appropriate forum. If not please move it. I need some game testers. Gamers that are fairly decent in Megaman 1, have any sort of PCE/TG16 CD system with system card 3.0 or higher, and a CD burner. Go to my blog for details (don't want to link directly to the file for specific forums rules). You could report back to this post though (you don't have to post on the blog if you don't want to). Thanks

It's hard enough to find folks with a PCE/TG16, but you want the CD too?!?! Good luck with that!

I'll give it a shot if I have time next week, but I'm on a trip for the next few days.

    hi tomaitheous,
Is it possible to convert these PCE files to work with a JAP PCE and a flashcard?

Hehe, but I've seen some people post in here before about their Duo and CD systems. But yeah, I have something special I'm trying to add to the game. CD features required

    hi tomaitheous,

Yes, I have a ROM version of this you can use on flash card. I'll release an update to that version soon. But for now, I wanted to concentrate on the CD version which I have specific plans for.

I'm also looking for some Megaman 1 related assets. Something upgraded. Both music tracks (remixes/covers/etc) and upgraded sound FX (PCM/wave base it fine since they'll be played back via ADPCM). Post links to them if you got 'em

I have Megaman Powered Up on PSP and I might look into that if I can't really find anything.

I've beaten the first Mega Man several times and I have a Duo-R so I'd love to test this out!

Oh cool You can find the link to the game build (separate from the game+source code) in the Download and Links section of http://pcedev.wordpress.com . The "game only" link.

Hold off on burning this image. I finally got my real system setup again, and debugging it. It works on emulators, but it freezes after the rom emulation begins. I'll post an updated version when I get it resolved (and buy another pack of CD-Rs :/ ).

4 hours of me pulling my hair out (and screaming at my game system), writing debug/trap code, and wasting over 30 CDRs... I think I have figured out the problem. It appears to be a unknown issue no one knows about. Initial tests shows that there's a work around, but I can't think for the life of my why memory issue was happening. I can replicate the error and the non error versions now. But I'm pissed... so I'll post an updated link something later or tomorrow.

On a side note, I now have "seizure mode" in the game that I might leave in as an unlockable by controller code >_>

I am pretty good a Megaman, and I could serve you as a beta tester too, but for some unknown reason my Turboduo now refuses to read backups , it was working fine a few months ago.

I have a duo and would be happy to test for you. (if the disk image isn't to big for me to download)

Ok, I've uploaded the fixed version on the blog: pcedev.wordpress.com .

Some of you posted about having original model (black) Duo units. PLEASE be aware of the 'laser parking' with those models, if you don't have a new replacement laser installed. I've posted more about it on blog.

old man: Nah, it's rather small. 1.1megs. It's only a single small data track and a cue file. No audio wave files.

chinitosoccer: This is just a single small track, so chances are it should have an easier time reading this setup than the traditional PCE/TG CD game setup.
