Repro cover art and general appreciation thread!

Yeah I use Photoshop as well. When it come to printing the labels the software isn't the problem, it's finding good quality sticky paper and a printer that can do the job. The good quality, official looking labels are laminated, I don't even know what kind of a printer you need for those, that's why I just get others to do it.

Not sure if this fits here, but i've been trying to track down a decent US cover for Beyond Oasis. On coverproject someone scanned in the cut up carboard version.. Any suggestions? (my photoshop skill is maxed out at putting phallic objects on friends faces, and that was when photoshop 7 was the latest and greatest).

Your best bet would be to sign up on The Cover Project forum and request the cover there. There are a couple of guys there that make Genesis covers regularly and would no doubt do it for you if you asked. I could do it too, but I'd need a good quality scan and some time, which I'm a little short on right now (I have a lot of projects going right now). Try asking over there, if it's a no go, I'll give it a shot using the scan they have uploaded or perhaps I'll localize the Japanese cover since it has much nicer artwork than that US monstrosity.

I can also scan the Korean cover of Story of Thor for you djshok. I still haven't forgotten about Battle Mania 2 either. I'll scan them both at 600dpi when I get a chance. Right now I've been trying to sell a lot of stuff to clear out my desk at work, but once that settles down I'll scan both games.

What do you think about setting a "wanted repro list" into the first post of this thread ?
Then eveybody would know who needs a specific artwork in order to complete a game set or create a new label.

That sounds like a cool idea. Though I don't know if setting it into the first post would really help, since no one can edit that post except me and the forum mods, so that list wouldn't be getting updated. I think it would be better if I just added a note in there letting people know that if there is something specific they want they can reply to this thread and if possible I'll try to do it, or if anyone else wants to give it a shot.

No I haven't heard back from him either. I only know him through this forum. Maybe he's on vacation, who knows.

djshok : Your Super Mario manual rocks, it is such a great work ! Note : 10/10.
I guess that hours and hours of patience are necessary, with a big amount of passion.

I could now play SHUI HU FENG YUN ZHUAN on my tv, and it is amazing
