Great job as always. I never heard of that SFC game. It looks good. The ending skit was genuinely creepy.

Loved the 32X episode! I've never played one nor am I interested in doing so, but Joe (& Dave) are very engaging and keep the show fresh. I am eagerly awaiting each show every other week.
Btw, Game Sack is the reason I am on an 8 month Saturn collecting rampage! The Saturn episode and the PC Engine/Genesis shmup episodes are among the best and I come back to them often. (I wish they would focus an entire episode on the massive Saturn shooter Library now that I have acquired most of the best - save Radiant Silvergun. I would love to hear more about Stellar Assault SS too as they hinted at the end of the 32X episode.)
I haven't seen this show until a few weeks ago and I've already went through about 90% of them. I absolutely love the show! The NES fanboy / Sega fanboy vibe is great. The sonic vs mario episode was hilarious. I've subscribed to their channel and await new episodes. I would like them to do an episode in a few months comparing the upcoming Sonic Lost Worlds and Super Mario 3D World, both for WiiU. A Sonic vs Mario rematch. lol
For those who like gaming on PC, and don't have a PS3, Wii, or XBox 360 (like me), some of the remakes are available on Steam...

Coming Up:TF3 Side by Side
Done: Jim Power: The Lost Dimension
The Flashback remake looks awesome !
I much prefer the Wily Wars over the NES originals. After hearing the music in that I can never go back to NES games, the first 2 sound incredibly poor to me while 3rd is kinda ok. Too bad about the slowdown, but overclocking fixes it mostly.

Did I just here that Capcom is releasing a physical copy of the game "Ducktales" for $20.00? Okay! I am one happy little fella! I have to say that I enjoyed listening to Dave's overall review/critiques of the games. Usually I reserve that praise for Joe.![]()

Great episode as usual I might add. Aside of what has already been said by my fellow Sega-16ers I would like to add that I thought Chuka Taisen was a good choice for this episode. I never heard about the remake before so that was a nice surprise.
The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.
Then we set about developing killer games.

Unfortunately the only way to get stuff like Simpsons or TMNT Arcade from XBLA would be to download the files to your 360, and then activate them with a valid code. The raw files can be found on the web.
New episode. Game Sack Sundays are the best.
Interesting episode. Since disappointment is somewhat arbitrary and always subjective I do have some ideas for another episode. Streets of Rage went from a great Golden Axe/Double Dragon type game to a near clone of Final Fight for example, not to mention the removal of Adam and the existence of Skate. Yes Streets of Rage 2 plays great, way better than the first, but we are all about the atmosphere here in the 21st century. Adam is atmosphere.
Road and Track Presents The Need for Speed on 3DO is a little slower but roughly the same game as the same on the much faster PS1 and Saturn. This game has a ton of cars and tracks, and tries to have just enough real world physics to fool the average consumer. I am not sure I even want to talk about Need for Speed 2, so I will jump straight to Need for Speed Hot Pursuit/High Stakes. Yes Electronic Arts released two games that are nearly identical and everybody bought them both. Well, Need for Speed 3 plays totally differently from the Road and Track original and I pretty much think it looks a lot worse too, especially on Playstation. Some of this is due to the more "3D" like environments and off road shortcuts. Some of these short cuts make the game seem like it is broken until you get back on the road. Also, rolling the car is an annoyance that drags the gameplay to a screeching halt.
Hydro Thunder, released in average to good condition first on Dreamcast and then in very good condition for the platforms on N64 and PS1, is its own game to this day. Whether it be compared to 4 Wheel Thunder, Arctic Thunder, or Hydro Thunder Hurricane, the original stands alone blemishes and all. This is one of the few games where I will just have to admit that something "fun" failed to carry over in the follow ups.

Streets Of Rage was always a FF clone but LOL true about Adam and the hell with skate. Later kangaroo and robots ? If SOR2 had an option to not only play original soundtrack but soundtrack from first game too during game and kept Adam, I'd give it a 10/10. I always gave it a 9/10, something about the graphics was off like guys and shadows had lines in them or weren't properly color shaded, idk and the music isn't up to snuff with SOR1 oh and skate, skate, smh skate.
The sketch at the end was brilliant.
