I'm a big Hokuto no Ken/Fist of the North Star fan, so I'd like to get the Japanese version of Last Battle just to have it. I'm well aware that it's not a good game, per se, but walking around as Kenshiro and exploding the heads of countless bad guys (on the Genesis, no less!) has an appeal that I just can't deny.

Hell I own Last Battle even though it's a bad game. But then again, I'm pretty stupid.

Oh yeah, and Master System Road Rash running that well is just proof that EA's graphics engine for the Genesis games was pure unoptimized crap.

I used to hate Herzog Zwei but when the game finally clicked with me I realized how ingenious it was. I really wish somebody would make a modern online version of it. Sure there are other RTS games but they're not the same.

I have to say, I really disagree with Dave on Castlevania: Dracula X. The graphics and sound are great, but the gameplay leaves much to be desired IMO.

Same here. Getting bounced around between two enemies when hit ain't cool (if I'm remembering it correctly). I do prefer some of the music tracks in this version over the PCE CD version.

I prefer the branching paths and multiple playable characters of the PCE CD original Dracula X Rondo of Blood. I also prefer the art style, which is reminiscent of the NES games and original Arcade game to the SNES version. The gameplay also seems more responsive on the PCE CD, the SNES game annoys the crap out of me every time I try to play it.

I agree. Even before I had played the PCE game I knew it was a turd. The bad thing is that every once in a while someone says something positive, and posts pics/vids/music of the game, which seem badass. Then I throw the cart in again to give it another shot, and once again feel bitter disappointment.

Never knew Sakimoto did the soundtrack for Devilish... gonna have to check that one out! Can't imagine a complete copy goes for very much.
