He has selective memory loss, like the folks at TGS.

Space Harrier for the NES should be for the Famicom, it wasn't released here. Space Harrier for the Master System came out in 1986 in the Japan and is copy written 1987 in the US release. Space Harrier for the TurboGrafx was a 1990 release in the US, not sure about the Japanese PC-Engine release date.

In other news, Rastan Saga II came out for the PC-Engine as well, I've almost picked it up several times.

"The best voices in any video game ever!"
Joe, you almost killed me with those samples... A-W-E-S-O-M-E.
However, I would like to see a Fighting Street (???) port for Genesis 'cause I'm pretty sure that its soundchip would provide some extra awesomeness to those samples.

The end of this episode is... Epic!

    Thanks Joe!

    Great episode! Well done!

I really liked your views on Ghost N Goblins/Ghouls N Ghosts review. There was a version for PSP, haven't gotten around to finish it, it is pretty hard. My favourite version though would have to be the Master System, prefer the choice when you open the chest. A neat trick is to keep knocking yourself out and building up your powers, makes the rest of the game a piece of piss.

No Thunder Force III vs Thunder Force IV? SoR vs SoR 2? Or a controversial one, like Revenge of Shinobi vs Shinobi III?

    Son, I am disappoint.

    ...

OH! Nice episode by the way.

Oh, I doubt this is the only episode we'll ever do of this nature. Same with games that have worse sequels. Just way too much stuff out there that qualifies. I almost put Uncharted vs Uncharted 2 in this episode but I wanted something where it was a bit more obvious as to the improvements.

Man, I would love to see you guys do an episode on the 16 bit Madden games.

I was moderately entertained by your video, and even laughed out loud a few times. Congratulations.

I also enjoyed y'all's video about the Road Rash games, it even inspired me to pick up the first one, which is indeed worthy of a purchase. There was something about the first one that the sequels didn't have. I was also surprised to find out that Cynthia Hamilton worked on the game, she also worked on Madden 92, and 93. What exactly she did I don't know, but it would be cool if Sega 16 could track her down for an interview. The same person who did the soundtrack to Madden 92 also did the music for the first RR. I can't remember his name at the moment. The first Road Rash soundtrack is very unique, not exactly great, and I wouldn't argue with anyone about it being bad, but there is no doubting that it is very unique, and original.

The third RR will always be my favorite though, partly due to nostalgia, the helicopter is nice too. 2 has the best music imo. All 3 of the Genesis Road Rash cartridges are worth owning if you ask me, I prefer them over all other versions of Road Rash.(I'm not much of an emulator, and the EA PSP compilation changed the osts, for the worse).

I think this thread should be stickied. Just my opinion.

I don't play old stuff for nostalgia, I play old stuff because the games are better.

I don't think I could sit through 15 minutes of Madden footage.

Urg! This is going to make me buy Fighting Street. Man you guys made me laugh twice, knock it off! I don't like Punch Out much, and really can't stand Super Punch Out. I sure hope that Kid's boils haven't started leaking yet...

As always, a great episode! That bit at the end about Dwayne was rather... Unexpected. You guys get fanmail? Also, the end bit with the Street Fighter 1 skit was pretty funny.
