    I forgot about 3, I only went as far as 2 on any platform. The videos do look terrible.

I did end up finding a nice sealed copy of it many years later, so by then my backlog had grown exponentially and I just didn't have the heart to break the seal unless I had the time to really immerse myself in it. I didn't even try to get it sealed, but the price was right at the time.

    I did break the seal on the Evolution games, though. Those two were lots of fun. The same with other Dreamcast games. But nowadays, unless I really have my plans laid-out where I can truly immerse myself in these games, I just can't bring myself to break those seals just yet.
    how long was that demo of skies of arcadia? what did it feature?

    Fun Fact - these two dudes were voiced by the same actor;

    I don't know. Story really started to drag for me outside of the introduction and in and outs of Millenia character. Talking to everyone in towns also started feeling like a chore I started dreading. And the game play everyone brags about means nothing and also very boring when the difficulty becomes zero challenge way too early on.

    All in all, the half playthrough of Grandia 1 seemed much more interesting. And if there were a top 100 list, one Grandia on it should be enough.

    The voice similarity never occurred to me until you just pointed it out.

    Interesting thing about that Top 100 RPG list is that Grandia wasn't in it at all, yet Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was.

    Grandia 2 was awesome. I loved the way that it explored religion and humanity. Millenia was funny, and the graphics (back then) were phenomenal, especially when played via VGA. I wouldn't put it ahead of Skies of Arcadia, (which REALLY needs a proper sequel) , but I would definitely put them as peers. Especially on the Dreamcast which was RPG starved in the USA.

    Which reminds me. I really need to pick up Grandia for the PS1. My unreadable Saturn version looks great, but I never finished it.

    man, i lost my DC Skies, but got Eternal Arcadia LE - brought a cool pirate flag, and some other stuff! got the GC one too.

    Grandia 1 i made it over the wall & never came back to, which has kept me from finally trying 2 on the DC for years now. i don't wanna restart it, but i can't see tying it up at this point either.

    I'd love to see it properly redone, but not on just the switch, just put it out on everything. It's a game that's perfect for XBL/PNS as well as Nintendo's estore.

    ^ Oh, that's a shame, because I think I heard that Liquid Snake actor died like a week ago.

    Recently IGN also made a top 100 RPG list and Grandia 2 appears on their list as well.

    Oh wait, it might be a different dude (never played the MGS sequels);

    But the other Turtle actors are dead? Bummer.

    Leonardo, Rocksteady, and Liquid are the same guy.

    Edit: Oh, Solidus is a different dude. Carry on, then.

    I find it interesting that they were ranked very closely on those 2 lists, with just 8 positions difference between the two.

    A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."

    Chrono Trigger needs to stop being number 1 on these lists.

    ^Even though we're most definitely coming from different angles, I couldn't agree more.
