Fun Fact - these two dudes were voiced by the same actor;
I don't know. Story really started to drag for me outside of the introduction and in and outs of Millenia character. Talking to everyone in towns also started feeling like a chore I started dreading. And the game play everyone brags about means nothing and also very boring when the difficulty becomes zero challenge way too early on.
All in all, the half playthrough of Grandia 1 seemed much more interesting. And if there were a top 100 list, one Grandia on it should be enough.
The voice similarity never occurred to me until you just pointed it out.
Interesting thing about that Top 100 RPG list is that Grandia wasn't in it at all, yet Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was.
Grandia 2 was awesome. I loved the way that it explored religion and humanity. Millenia was funny, and the graphics (back then) were phenomenal, especially when played via VGA. I wouldn't put it ahead of Skies of Arcadia, (which REALLY needs a proper sequel) , but I would definitely put them as peers. Especially on the Dreamcast which was RPG starved in the USA.
Which reminds me. I really need to pick up Grandia for the PS1. My unreadable Saturn version looks great, but I never finished it.![]()
man, i lost my DC Skies, but got Eternal Arcadia LE - brought a cool pirate flag, and some other stuff! got the GC one too.
Grandia 1 i made it over the wall & never came back to, which has kept me from finally trying 2 on the DC for years now. i don't wanna restart it, but i can't see tying it up at this point either.
^ Oh, that's a shame, because I think I heard that Liquid Snake actor died like a week ago.
...you serious? Then that's all four of them.
Leonardo, Rocksteady, and Liquid are the same guy.
Edit: Oh, Solidus is a different dude. Carry on, then.

A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."
Chrono Trigger needs to stop being number 1 on these lists.
^Even though we're most definitely coming from different angles, I couldn't agree more.
