It always annoys me when I hear them pronounce Ristar, its not pronounced Rister! its RYE STAR, like catcher in the Rye.

Remember the level where Ristar gets lonely and pays for an underage prostitute? It seems like a fun stage at first, but then they just talk and nothing happens, and then the boss is the personification of Ristar's depression and spiraling alienation. I almost didn't like the game, but then the F-bombs reminded me of how cool and edgy it was.

Agreed, Joe really outdid himself with putting that introduction together. The quality the SEGA Genesis deserves!

I would not go as far and say it's a classic but I think it gets more hate than it deserves. It's a decent game that has its moments of fun and I do enjoy it from time to time.

All those people commenting on youtube that their favorite/best game is absent should consider Joe did not even mention HIS favorite game of all time, so stop crying. Yes I'm having a hard time with all the time spent on Dynamite Duke or Sonic Spinball but who cares? I'm glad they choose to show Landstalker/Light Crusader instead of the more obvious Thor/Soleil.

I don't know about that. The contrast in each other's fandom and tastes made it work. Going solo..we shall see but I'm not optimistic.
