Those memory cards scared my ass away from buying one. I wasn't going to pay $70 for a 16GB memory card, on top of a $250+ purchase of the handheld.

A Black Falcon: no, computer games and video games are NOT the same thing. Video games are on consoles, computer games are on PC. The two kinds of games are different, and have significantly different design styles, distribution methods, and game genre selections. Computer gaming and console (video) gaming are NOT the same thing."
This is pretty much the reason I got rid of my Vita. I still have my PSP but thankfully memory cards for those were way cheaper. The Vita overall spec wise was a nice system but Sony really fucking killed it with not even trying to stick to the standard storage media along with many other issues.
The 3DS while not as powerful killed it in the market in the end even tho it had a rough start on release.

PSP was fantastic. Had a 2000 from 2011 to this year when it finally died. I bought a 3000 off eBay and a brand new OEM battery. With the exception of Switch. Nintendo's handhelds never did much for me. PSP and Vita are some of my faves. I liked having that much power being portable even tho my fave game on PSP is Ys Chronicles.
It's weird tho. Final Fantasy Remake and Ys remake on DS and PSP should have had their roles reversed. DS had the 3D remakes and PSP the 2D remakes. I prefer them 2D but if they were going 3D why the DS over PSP?
PSP Vita was a ace handheld, sadly underused and supported by SONY. I still use and play my. Nothing beats Hotshots Golf on the bog![]()

Seconded. I got a used Vita to make use of all the free games I got via PSN back when I still had a PS+ account, but I never purchased a game on Memory Card because the price tag on them was, well, too damn high. It was an amazing handheld with impressive specs, but Sony completely misunderstood that handhelds usually appealed more to the casual gamer on the go, and that most handhelds were so successful because of their comparably low 20-30$ price tags on the games. While the graphics and the capabilities of the Vita are still amazing for a handheld even today, shelling out 60-70$ for a high-end game on a very small screen was just too much (yeah, technically you could play on a big screen via PSTV, but I hardly know anyone who got one of those, and besides, that didn't work for every game either.) But thank god the Vita has such an amazing homebrew scene - these days I mostly revisit ScummVm- and Amiga-classics on the go.
The funny thing about an oxymoron is, even if you remove the ox, there'll always be a moron. The Question Remains: Y?

New video up today, Genesis VS Snes! Dave returns!!
Dyed at the aesthetic part lol.
I was going to post that too. The tongue N' cheek jokes they were poking at the other console and games was priceless.

I think its some urban myth the Mega Drive didn't have the best JPRG's. Stuff the overrated SquareSoft stuff SEGA had GameArts makes of the best 16 bit RPG's ever made (and well the best RPG's full stop) Nothing beats the Lunar's even now
Also, Sports is where the Mega Drive really killed the SNES. Greatest Heavyweights is the best boxing game ever made, PGA Golf 3 is the best golf game ever made, Brian Lara 96 the best Cricket game ever made, Sensible Soccer the best football game ever made (and the Snes version sucked) you then had Jimmy White's Snooker, EA International Rugby, Winter and Summer Challenge, J League Pro Striker, Premier League manager, NHL 94 (the Mega CD version is the best) Speedball 2 it even had a half decent Sumo game. Up your Ass Nintendo !! SEGA Mega Drive was the king for sports ... It didn't have an answer to Super Metroid mind LOL

It was a fun episode. I have to wonder, if they did another like it and included the TurboGrafx in the mix (being one of The Big Three back in the day), who would guest star to represent it?

It sounds like you're unfamiliar with 16-bit JRPGs. The SFC has much more than Square RPG'ish games.
Then there's the PC Engine. The SFC and PCE each have around 100 "RPG" games.
And that's not counting relatively straight adventure or war sim games, let alone some of the random genres that get lumped in as 16-bit Sega "RPGs" around here.

I have all 3, (4 if I include the Amiga). They all offer great gaming experiences.

Enjoyable episode, and in the end, the true winner of the 16 bit wars was................. the gamers who grew up during that time. So many great games for both consoles, it's why it is fun to collect for both (though prices say otherwise these days as games continue to rise and rise in value). Good to see Dave back for at least one appearance too.
