Why wasn't Nexzr mentioned? I am guessing you guys don't own it.

That would be a good guess.

That's where I picked up mine, pretty much right before TZD went away, too.

I find it favorable that you find Spriggan Mark 2 favorable. But really, play the game on hard or super hard. That's where the fun is at

Spriggan Mark 2 is hard enough on normal for now.

Which Spriggan was most like MUSHA?

I think you guys did a good job choosing games that featured the Turbo Grafx-16's graphical capabilities. As an onlooker, I am quite impressed with the level of polish some of those games exhibited. Even though that console is from my childhood, I've never considered exploring it's library. This video has made me reconsider that decision.

    Awesome episode, guys.
That final section with all the other games sent (good) chills down my spine.

I hadn't even realized there were two Spriggan games until this. Cool. Now to find the overhead one for less than $40.

Great episode. How did these games allow for parallax with only one BG layer?

No, it's unbiased analysis. The only fanboyism is people who claim that Hyperstone Heist and Bloodlines are actually as good as their SNES counterparts.

Clever use of sprites and other programming methods. For example, it can do parallax scrolling vertically with just one BG layer by moving it into itself. Genesis can do that as well, but they never really needed to use programming tricks like that. Turbo programmers had to be more creative.
