OH! It's gotta be D-Xhird... Takara at their finest.
But really, I'm a sucker for Last Bronx.

For the overall best, I have to go with Tekken 3, but as far as other titles go, I really like Wu-Tang Shaolin Style. It seems like a gimmicky game on paper, but it is actually a very polished game with responsive controls. I think it has been overlooked and underrated. All of that being said, I prefer either Genesis-era fighters or DC-era fighters to any 32-bit games, so I'm certain I haven't played nearly as many as a lot of you guys.
I'd probably have to go with virtua fighter 2. I still play that game occasionally, and it's as fun as ever. Most recent fighting games I've played havent been as good as VF2. I wonder if 5 was any good...
I only played Wu-Tang, although a friend of mine had Thrill Kill on his PS1.
Also, I didn't know you could make moves like those on Fighter Maker.

Virtua Fighter 2 and Remix are excellent.
The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.
Then we set about developing killer games.

Always liked Soul Edge/Blade on PlayStation. Preferred Tekken 2 to Tekken 3. Loved Fighting Vipers but thought Megamix was pretty rubbish (loved the fan service but it was less than the sum of it's parts) Loved the graphics of VF2/Dead or Alive and Last Bronx - just looked so clean and crisp. Thought Dead or Alive looked the most "solid" of the Saturn 3D fighters but part of this was the excellent emphasis on hits and moves that the camera work created. Also enjoyed Street Fighter ex plus alpha although I know most fight game fans didn't like it at all.
Bizarrely I also played Final Fight Revenge on Saturn a lot. I know it isn't great but it felt fairly similar to Street Fighter ex plus alpha
Tekken bar far the best. It refined 3D fighting the same way Mortal Kombat did 2D fighting

It’s Virtua Fighter 2 VS Tekken 3 for me. They are both excellent games but I’ll go with VF for its deeper and more technical gameplay.
In probably related news, I learned that a friend of mine has the Sega PC versions of Virtua Fighter 2 and Last Bronx. And Virtual On as well.

I have Virtua Fighter 2 and Virtual On on PC. Virtual On won't install because it does some stupid MMX check that doesn't pass even on Intel systems. Virtua Fighter 2 PC only started playing close to full framereates after I passed the 1000 Mhz CPU test.![]()
I second all the posts for Virtua Fighter 2 and Remix
