i dont know they used it for teaching stuff here but also philips isnt realy the quality overall the Tv,s are mediocore at best the old philips years 60 was better, nowdays Philips is just the frame of philips with sanyo electronics in it or panasonic/they also had Aristona and Grundig on the wing as sideworkers,so they werent idividually.Philps CDI hmm really popular, actually not really it costed much eh,i have one at home 2 actually, never tryd em out and the video where comlicated to get em to workmor my cdi is broke Dunno??,and dotn care if it is it sucked anyhow, ther where mario things for it and a zelda movie as i can remember Mario is missing was also on CDI with enhanched graphics Man that game was to short but could have been ways better,Mario hotel was for the CDI and some more Digitized Games,im not a pro about knwoledge over it,my uncle had one, thats why i know a bit about it,it wasnt popular here it tryd to it had much, and it had a ways to high price. If you saked me i dont like the thing btu stil i have to,maybe when im retarded you can buy em both from me LOL.

I see only one game is missing. and that was a scrolly shooter based on an anime, never seen it in real live though.

Lemmy Is it the Namco Arcade classics you mean? I was thinking about buying it someday. Why is it so bad?

yep thats it, but to be fair i just played it again, and i used my philips gamepad style controller
everything just seems too big for one thing

Galaga is just way to fast right off the start. the enemys bullets are way to fast, its also a half screen game, where the left side is the game and the right side is all the stats

Ms Pac Man i used to think sucked but after playing Jr. Pac Man on the atari 2600 (where the screen scrolls up and down) and liking that game alot i just tried this version again because the screen scrolls up and down. i just couldnt get used to it when i bought it about 5 years ago, plus there are different settings Arcade levels, Death Traps, Team Spirit, and Speed Levels

Galaxian plays pretty good and is full screen, and theres nothing for me to compare it to as ive only played the 2600 version, i never played this in the arcades

i used to think 2 of 3 sucked now its just 1 of 3
at the time i paid about $35 for it and i was disappointed
so just dont pay alot for it and go for it

The 3DO was pretty lacking in the loading department. it was much slower than both the Tubo and Sega CD when it came to getting data. yes, it had to get more data, but game players don't care. hey just know that the time they spend looking at a loading screen was longer than any other system ever. Road Rash was freakin' awesome, though.
You didnt what no 360 shame on you,No good job the system suck as hard as the first xbox.

Huge loading times for the 3DO?

Well I've played about 30 3DO games in the past few days and I've experienced little to no loading times at all. The only game that I could recall right now with loading more than 3 seconds would be Samurai Showdown and only before the fight begins...

Maybe you have a special, magical 3DO. Or maybe live in some form of alternate reality where there are actually 30 3DO games worth booting up!

i suggest trying Life Stages Virtual House if you want constant long loading times

i couldnt build my house because i kept turning the wrong way into a loading zone
    good concept horrible execution

Haha I've heard about Virtual House but I probably won't try it out. From what I've heard, all you do is just build a house. I heard it has a terrible framerate as well...

awesome interview, there isnt a link to this discussion on the page though.

i think ea owes the genesis more credit than trip likes to admit.

if not for the genesis, ea would not be where they are today.

the link to the article is busted in the op as well

Nice interview! Shame he didn't give more beefy answers like most of the other interviews here on Sega-16. He does sure seem full of himself though! But in this kind of business, it's kind of needed I suppose. If you're not, then Sega could have scared him right into a licensing contract to make 3rd party games. The man may have had some bad ideas, but he is the reason EA was a name then, and NOW.

Trip Hawkins is still probably laughing sitting atop mad stacks of cash from Madden alone. He made 2 million dollars from Joe Montana off of a $20,000 investment. That's pretty damn good.
